Hi I believe that is the rigth time to add some commendations for MCC such as Headmaster, Close combat, Trigger Man, Mulltikill etc, they can have tiers like Reach Copper/Silver/Gold and on each tier maybe we can get some season points an XP for those who need a little boost trying to rank up

I always liked the concept of commendations being a long term challenge to either get a chunk of xp or some in game content like armour pieces. Reach I think had the best setup for them, but I did like with Halo 4 you actually got rewards and XP for doing certain ones.
Infinite definitely needs them too but they need to add an actual progression system first, not to mention all the other issues that plague that game that need to be fixed.

Ah yes, I remember spending hours cheesing splatter kills in Halo 4 multiplayer to max out the commendation so I could get the only green visor in the game.

Yes that would be amazing. If they rework the menu where you can see other peoples spartan by just scrolling through their names in the lobby, they should also make it so that you can see peoples Season completion and commendation progress kind of like with reach where you could see peoples armory completion and commendations completion…maybe they could add an achievement completion stat right there too.
If they were to add commendations i’d play significantly more than i am now.

Yes, I agree Commendations should return. For both individual titles and cross-titles.

If Commendations were to make a return, I’d definitely play the game a lot more than I currently do. Campaign, Multiplayer, Firefight, Spartan Ops… There’d be so many to grind to Onyx, it’d be great.

You left out onyx and onyx max. Been there, done that, I was one of the first handful of players on OG Reach to legitimately complete all of the commendations. There was no reward for doing so. Do you really want to force yourself to use inferior weapons such as the assault rifle and also slog through campaign missions for the umpteenth time just to advance a completely meaningless commendation that ultimately means nothing?

While I’d like commendations to make a return, I do tend to agree with you somewhat. I think some of them should be toned down or even altered some so they aren’t seen as such a slog to complete. Some of the numbers were really high in OG Reach, and I never even got close to completing some of them due to this.

At this point, were commendations to return, they should retroactively take all of your past games into account. I migrated here from 360 reach in late May and would be ticked off if said progress didn’t take into account my games since - I can’t imagine how poorly OG MCC players or even ones that have been playing for years would react to this.
As far as the commendations in OG Reach go I was lucky - I played multi-team almost exclusively(this playlist covered all of the multiplayer ones thanks to Mario Kart) and I also enjoyed playing firefight. The Grounded commendation was easily the worst…I’d love to hear the rationale behind creating this commendation (6k vehicle kills) and then configuring the maps so that vehicles only appeared on a select few.
