I completed Dawn, Requiem, and Forerunner on legendary but I only got the commendation for Dawn. When I go to select my mission it says that the highest difficulty completed is Legendary for those missions.

Did you complete all of them Online? Because Commendations are only unlockable when connected to Xbox Live.
I’m not sure if I had a connection when I completed them, but I do now, so shouldn’t it update automatically?

No, you have to complete them online and online only. Sorry but you’ll have to do them again.

I don’t know, it bugs me also. I guess it’s just there to coax players into having Xbox Live.
I have Xbox live, but my internet is wonky. It comes on and off, so I can’t always have a consistent connection. I thought campaign was the one thing you can do w/o a connection. :S
Does this mean that my service record won’t have legendary recorded after I complete it?
You can still complete the campaign and get the achievement, but to get the multiplayer rewards you must be online. I guess it kinda sucks but, that’s the way it is. I think you might be alright as long as you have a connection when you finish the mission, but you must complete them online, it won’t just update afterwards.
Are those campaign commendations? I didn’t even know campaign had commendations.

The commendations for completing the campaign on legendary give you the halo 2/3 looking Mark VI armor. So if you want that, you’ll have to do the missions again online, if not don’t worry about doing them I guess.
Wowwww, that was one of the main reasons why I’m doing it.
Those should all be easy on co-op. Unless you’re trying to get the solo legendary achievement. You get the mkVI for either or even if you mix and match them (at least I think so).
I don’t have any friends who are good at Halo. 
I would be happy to help on whatever stages. Only thing is that my seeping schedule atm is backwards. Staying up until early morning and waking up around 5-7pm/ Lol.
Either way I’d be happy to help as long as our connections are compatible. I can’t connect to some people sometimes even though my network settings are open.
