I posted this on the 343i fan-site forum, so I’m posting it here aswell.

I haven’t been able to find a list anywhere stating how many kills/medals you need to complete the commendations and their ranks. The game guide has the full list, and I’m hoping it’s up to date. I’ve typed all this out so that their is a list for people to look at. If this is useful for everyone, please request a sticky so it can be kept at the top for all to see.

If you’re looking for a specific one don’t forget to use ctrl+f for the find function.

I didn’t see the Backstab commendation. It’s under the enemies section ingame… I want my Venator armor but if it turns out to be a ridiculous grind I’m not wasting my time

This is a fantastic thread, thanks OP!

Just a quick (stupid) question, do the commendations overlap or is each new level from zero? E.g, if I got 100 headshots, would the next level start at 100/200, or 0/200?

Does anybody have any recommendations for grinding specific commendations?

Wheelman: Play SpOps Ep1Ch1 (Land Grab), have a player in the Gauss hog turret.

Shotgun: Play Flood.

Pistol, Bullet In The Brain: Play SWAT.

Switch to them as your default grenade loadout, throw them all day erry day, learn to love them!

They’re better on some gametypes, especially KOTH and objective games where people are rushing a certain point (e.g. Oddball). They’re great when lobbed into the Hill or for blocking off doorways. They’re also stronger than you might think against stationary vehicles.

thx good work…but, i dont need it, because 1st i see it on the stats on waypoint and 2nd i dont care about it. the kills comes, the counter grows up…thats enough for me.

a list where i get he most kills of any enemy-type (in SO) where more interesting.
