I just finish a game of WARZONE and went to see what commendations I got I have a sheet with all the remaining commendation I need and was updating it and got a SPARTAN LASER kill. The weird thing is … I never even see anyone fire one let alone killed someone, I even watch the whole match any just incase I had and totally forgot, and no never even see a shot fired !
This mean I got a Spartan Laser kill for nothing, has this happen to anyone else or did they give me a FREEBIE ?

If you jump out of vehicle just as is blows up you do sometime get the kill too … but I checked and I didn’t even seen one fired at anyone this time ???
I’ve seen this sort of thing before. The kill system, especially in Warzone, tries to award players fairly as opposed to what may have actually happened. One such example is boss kills. You can deal a ton of damage and some guy takes the last shot. More often than not, I am awarded the kill even though I stopped attacking or was reloading. I assume this also happens with vehicles.
If the vehicle blows up from a large amount of damage it has accumulated (they do that if you wait when they have significant damage, signaled by flashing lights and alarms), you will get the kill for it probably because you were the last person to do things in it. And it probably gave you a Splaser kill cause it didn’t know what else to give. Some kind of programming weirdness I guess.
Yeah a similar thing happened to me, I was killing the enemies that were shooting at warden eternal, and I’ll add quickly that I didnt fire a single shot at, or damage warden in any way. I died by warden and while I was selecting reqs to respawn with, warden was killed and I was accredited for it, got the medal and everything.
Also, a little off topic, but you get a supercombine medal if you kill enemy players with the needler, even when they dont supercombine (I killed a guy who had low health with a needler, no pink mist explosion, still got the medal)

I have had a few weird medals thrown out, not that specifically, I just figure in warzone there is enough crap going on with 24 players + AI plus grenade/power weapon/vehicle spam that it would be unrealistic for the system to be perfect.
