F](Commandos 2 Men Of Courage walkthrough: Training camp 1 - YouTube)or those who are not familiar with Commandos series, watch this. Basically, Commandos is small platoon RTS game where you micro-manage each member.
In the flood of FPS, this kind of game has been absent for a long time. Other than Halo 2, have we had game focusing on Covenant’s point of view? No.
People would say “stick to human characters!” I disagree. I think Covenant platoon would bring more unique experience.
Gameplay: You can position Hunters on crucial point for tanking while sending Jackal sniper or Grunt with turret to other spot.
Story: I think this would be tricky. One good example I can think of is during invasion of Flood in High Charity. You scramble remaining surviving Covenant species including even Brutes. You have to use remaining platoon wisely to survive Flood onslaught until dropship is repaired.
Any more idea would be very welcomed.
