I know everyones had their issue with the commando rifles last season…but why we gotta implement it in swat now? Whats next…mangler swat? Oh wait.

Honestly I find Commando to be one of the funner vatiants along with Sidekicks. Behind those two is probably Manglers with Stalkers my least liked variant.

I like the commando though. It seems like a better fit then most weapons for swap too.

I’ll be the minority, only bc of mangler and stalker but I’m actually thrilled these days to get a commando and not a mauler or stalker… I just want the br back man

Honestly, I feel that. It’s hard to say because back in the H2 and H3 days there was swat pistols and it was pretty fun. Here’s an idea, maybe we could add a veto system so that people can select if they really want to play a match with different weapons. This way the majority decides.

You wish they would make its own playlist, but if not, the veto system would be the only way… we are just being forced into games that we don’t want to play as swat players, well hell, pretty much every game mode, but the sad part is that they don’t give users the option.

Commando kinda feels like the old DMR.
Unless you miss the first shot or two… then there’s the recoil to deal with.
But let’s face it. If you miss the first couple of shots then you aren’t going to get the chance to deal with recoil.

I still haven’t had a game of Commando SWAT. I’m a huge fan of Mangler SWAT though.
I really like in Halo 5 how SWAT had a lot of variants and glad to see them do the same. Although I’m not 100% convinced on Sidekick starts yet. It does make some of the bigger maps a little more fun to play.
The commando is HORRIBLE. Way too much recoil for a precision shooting game such as Swat. The sidekick is the WORST pistol ever in Halo. It’s like shooting a bb gun. Mangler in Swat?? Don’t get that at all. And the Stalker is a SNIPER rifle so again, WHY?? 343 has failed us for Swat. Tactical Slayer is NOT Swat!!

I disagree, its much better then the Halo 2 and 3 Magnums, both of which were nearly unusable, and is still quite a lot better then the Reach and 4 magnums. Sidekick is honestly the 3rd best pistol in Halo (assuming you dont count the Halo 5 CE Magnum as its own gun and dont just roll it in with the normal CE Magnum)
Don’t hold down the fire, just tap fire, and the recoil is much easier to manage.

I actually found Commando Swat to be pretty fun. It rewarded feathering the trigger at long range instead of the insta-death, pinpoint no-spread super fast Battle Rifle bullets.
I’ll always have a soft spot for Battle Rifle Swat but I think the only Swat variant I don’t like is Stalker Rifle.
What’s everyone going on about recoil for? You guys seriously hold down the trigger when using the Commando? No wonder people have issues using it 
The best way I’ve found is to use it like the BR (3 shot bursts) or like the DMR for SWAT. 
Please get rid of this crap. Or at the very least give me the option to never have to play this again.
The commando sucks big time. It doesn’t even hit where the reticle is at. I have to aim at their chest in order to get a headshot. (and I take lots of videos to prove it).

Ugh - don’t get me started. I’m a BR nut. I don’t mind these variants once in a while or even 50% of the time, but swat is a BR game. I actually do well with the CR but it doesn’t belong in swat–nor does any automatic weapon.
I was really annoyed that it seemed to drop BR down to <10% after the swat event. I get that others enjoy more variety than I do, but that’s what fiesta is for. lol. I enjoy that sometimes, too. But Swat should default to 50% BR and then divide the others up accordingly–with commando rifles at like 3% or less. The most common variant, imo, should be the stalker rifle. It’s much more like the BR than any of the others.
