Commando and Bulldog NEED Buffs

Why would you need to sprint in chess?

why would you need sprint in a video game? Halo especially?

I dont agree, the ease of use on the ar needs to be mitigated.

Because for me personally, sprinting should be apart of halo in some form.

And your wrong, and that’s ok.

Back to topic at hand, remove bloom and give us the REAL shotgun.

There’s no right or wrong answers here.

And yes please bring back the shotgun.

One of my favourite games that I’ve mentioned on this forum as an example several times is Unreal Tournament 3, a game with no Sprint but very fast movement speed.

Claiming Halo is about “moving at top speed at all times” is ridiculous. Before sprint was introduced to Halo you literally walked fast at all times lol, that’s far from what I would call top speed.

In Halo Infinite Sprint is more punishing than rewarding, it barely makes you move faster and it delays the time before you can shoot. It’s a great balanced gameplay mechanic that adds depth… but you could literally play the game without sprinting if you wanted to (I often do so I can fire at all times). But imagine BTB, just slowly walking across the map when you aren’t near anyone. What fun that would be…

It’s called top speed because it’s the fastest the player can naturally move, duh.

So remove it.

What depth? press X to move faster and screw up player prediction.

Not a defense.

You know maps are scaled according to player movement speed right? and you know vehicles exist right? and mancannons?

I agree completely with everything you said. These days, I normally stick with Sidekick over Commando Rifle, and that seems wrong.

Ya i dont sprint much its a very use case specific thing.

Although its slightly disengenuous to say ut3 had no sprint.

UT3 added 2 major movement mechanics to the franchise, jetpacks and hover boards.

The HB was a sprint mechanic in effect. Not identicle to infinites sure but still a sprint mechanic.

Im actually surprised you call 3 a fav its the first time ive heard that ever. Its usually 2004 or rarely even UC2 but ive never heard 3.
I quiet liked 3 despite its flaws also.

@commando544 we will have to agree to disagree.

I sugeest you start your own thread on why you think sprinting should be removed and include a Poll for the community to vote. It could be a valuable discussion if the community was brought into it, you and I are just two people with different opinions.

True, forgot about Hoverboards but those are only in Vehicle maps… my only point was I have no issue with fast paced arena games lol

And full honesty UT3 was the first one I played so that’s likely why I like it, one of the coolest games I’ve played to bad they aren’t making them anymore.

Ya true its a domination thing only.

Fair it aas a fast game.

One of my first games was unreal i played it in a cafe and was blown away been huge on ut, uc since.
Unreal was my first so i favour that one.
It actually holds up well btw. Much of the weapon sandbox is in the first game 2 super unique sandbox.

But ya clearly have no issues aiming and moving then if thats the case haha.
Have a good one

So today I was outgunned at long range with an AR while I was using the Commando in LSS. Full honesty, they had the highground and the cover while I was being overconfident in the open because I thought I had the range advantage.

What happened was this enemy was at a range where the Commando could not be used without scoping, but since I was just being sprayed with an AR I couldn’t aim without being instantly descoped. So this enemy was at a weird range where the AR actually outclassed the Commando I guess, not sure if this is an issue with the Commando, an issue with the AR, or an issue with myself (like I said I had no cover).

Regardless, I’m assuming this is the root of the frustration for most Commando users. Precision weapons are all susceptible to descope, however the Commando is the only precision weapon that is also susceptible to bloom. This makes it very frustrating to use at times in a ranged 1v1 gunfight.

Yesterday some guy killed me with AR idk in 1sec I believe. I had full shield and he was in a jump by the way. That was weird as f, like he has auto aim on my heah. The range was close, yeah, but still…

Yeah I was going for Heatwave challenges today, being a Shotgun it’s suprising how unforgiving this thing is to use vs an enemy with an AR. If you need 3 shots to kill you’re dead.

I like that the AR is viable, but I think it could use a slight nerf. Increase the minimum amount of shots needed for an optimal kill from 15 to 16 and reduce ammo capacity from 36 to 32.

Sorry, I forget to tell why that was especially weird. He jumped on stairs, I was behind the corner, so it was a side jump for him.

I believe AR has head damage multiplier or so(forget the correct word), but still it’s range is too big. I really think that head damage for AR need to go and range need to be reduced a little bit.

Not sure but it seems that the Commando of season 2 has less recoil. Its now more reliable and i use it now more often. Just my experience/opinion

Recent play has confirmed for me that these guns need buffs. The bulldog consistently requires 3 shots to kill. Its not a shotgun, its just another mangler at this point. Commando is still getting outgunned in too many senarios and idk about the rest of you but the pistol has felt wildly inaccurate and inconsistent as well the past few weeks.
