Instructions unclear. 343 Industries releases a flexing bicep icon exclusive to the Commando and Bulldog.
Not sure what you’re talking about. I would gladly drop my AR for either of those weapons, at least on smaller maps. In BTB I would keep the AR over the Bulldog, unless I already have the Commando.
The Commando and Bulldog work beautifully together, and is one of my favorite weapon combos in this game.
Starting to agree with this especially after using it so often in Last Spartan Standing. 13 bodyshots is paltry.
Commando I understand but I already shred with the Bulldog, I feel like a buff would just make it OP in this sandbox.
I think the Bulldog is pretty good as a pocket shotgun in close-encounters, it’s quite the difference to what we’ve had before and I kinda like it (★‿★)
Commando really does need some love, however.
Are you controller? I only ask because i see controller struggle alot with these weapons more than a mouse and thats been my personal experience too.
I wouldn’t want them buffed tbh, i get commando is difficult to use but it is strong and can be used at a good range, id suggest tapping/burst tapping the fire button to keep it in check.
On mouse im a beast with the commando, controller im not bad but no where near the same level just due to the joystick being harder to manage recoil.
As for the shotty, first shot should be chest/stomach and then second shot head/throat, thats ypur best bet to 2shot but latency sucks and shotguns are rng of pellets
Lol, first time hearing that three of my favorite weapons got nerfed. Man that just sucks. I actually spent considerable time in practice mode with Commando and also Mangler, and today I read these weapons are now nerfed. I thought they were perfectly positioned as clear but not OP upgrades over the standard loadout, between pistol/AR and BR.
I’ve never played against anyone where I felt they were OP because they had a Mangler, Commando or Shotgun…
The Commando’s only potential issue is bloom. Otherwise I think it’s a much stronger gun than many players realize and is in a healthy place.
the commando without bloom would be heavenly. i’d wanna see that
Double shot kill is extremely inconsistent., even at close range.
For whatever reason some damage is lost somewhere, even when doing body shot headshot.
Honestly, using it feels like a gamble in encounters.
That RNG by itself is enough to warrant most players ignoring it in favor of something consistent.
Untrue, the CE magnums spread when being tap fired ( which can be done just as fast as holding down the trigger is very minimal ) and the H3 BR has only 0.5 degrees of spread with means nothing at close range.
It’s 2022 and Halo still hasn’t learned the lesson of stupid randomness in their guns being bad. Bloom is just as bad as sprint and those who defend it are dying on a hill that cannot be defended.
Honestly, trying to claim Sprint shouldn’t be in a 2022 game is what’s undefendable to me. I feel like you’re dying on that Hill lol
Same with Bloom how is this an issue? The weapon is literally Designed to be control fired… that’s the purpose of Bloom lol.
Rather than buffing two already viable weapons, wouldn’t it be better to just simply introduce the M45 Shotgun and the M739 SAW into the sandbox?
I think in a 4v4 playlist the AR when teamshotting is more effective than the sidekick. In ffa modes like LSS I agree sidekick is a more reliable close range weapon. The commando also feels really good in LSS but not as good in 4v4 modes.
That’s a great point, again it’s another reason I think the AR’s ammo capacity should be reduced from 36 to 32. When firing with teammates its easy to get multi-kills because you can keep spraying the AR, ideally you are at least limiting the AR’s kill capactiy to one enemy before you have to reload / switch to the Sidekick to finish a kill.
This keeps the AR as an effective default weapon but it limits it potential vs other weapons (example the BR can kill 3 enemies on its own before a reload potentially). This would limit the AR to 2 enemies if you literally have perfect aim.
Never thought the AR was op before but after they nerfed the mangler’s 1 shot + melee ability, I realized how right people were. I just never noticed it because I would use the mangler as a defensive weapon against people who would charge at me with the AR or sidekick, now there is nothing to keep them in check. Also, I hate the Commando and I’m hot garbage with it, looks cool but it’s by far my least favorite item in the sandbox.
After spending just a bit of time with the Commando in practice mode, I was able to really utilize it in multiplayer. The trick is ignoring the auto-fire and instead trigger every individual shot. Then it’s mostly like a Sidekick with larger mag and slower reload, but also reduced bloom, which is great!
Ah yes, a mechanic should be in a game only because it’s [current year], completely ignore how the mechanic changes the game and it’s identity.
If you want a weapon to be control fired then lower it’s rate of fire, instead we have a mechanic that can randomly award fast kills or award no kills at all based on nothing but a dice roll.
How about sprint is a basic human function so not including it would be absurd. Imagine trying to fight any of the boss fight in infinite without the ability to sprint. How does Sprint negatively impact gameplay?
Isn’t that the beauty of it? If someone gets the drop on you the Commando can be auto fired in a desperation attempt to get the kill. A roll of the dice.
The changes you are advocating for would negatively effect gameplay. I literally wouldnt even touch Halo if I couldn’t Sprint or if every weapon was so boringly consistent to use. Who wants to walk around the entire time and shoot a gun that requires no thought to use.
Video game, chess doesn’t have sprint.
You know the game designers made the bosses the way they were because the player has sprint and grapple? so if they weren’t in the game the bosses would also be less mobile to compensate.
Map design and weapon balance choices.
There’s no beauty in random mechanics that ignore all player skill.
Sounds like a you problem, you can’t handle a true arena shooter, you can’t handle aiming and moving at the top speed at all times. Bloom makes the gun require no thought to use, plus no gun in Infinite requires any thought outside of the sniper when scoped in.
