I thought about this idea for Halo 4 and I wonder what others would think of it. In Star Wars Battlefront Elite Squadron you have all these respawn times, loadouts, and that stuff just like in Halo4 but in SWES you have Command Posts where you can spawn and switch loadouts even after spawning. So I think a good idea that people might like is for future Halo 4’s like in MP have a for the number of teams one team gets a special Command Post that only they can use and then if you want to use a long range loadout ok just change it in the CP but oh no enemies are charging into your base switch the loadout to a close range loadout. I think CP’s would work really well with these loadouts so your not stuck with one type until you die.
As long as there wouldn’t be a person saying “We’ve lost a command post!”. Rather a visual indicator, like some text. Mostly because the command posts would be taken so fast in Battlefront II that they would continually say it over and over again.
I’m unsure how it would work with just 16 players though.

Well that’s why I think it would be better to make the CP’s to where you can’t lose them nor can you gain any more so you just have one total in the main base for your team. So Team Fury has a CP on their side of the map and Team Demon has a CP on their side of the map.

It works decently in my custom gametype that I made using Territories, and I only have two people to test it with, my brother and I.

I’ve played Star Wars battlefront II for like three years every single day. I got endless enjoyment out of it. I loved when they said “We’ve captured a command post” and all that. And I’d love to see a command post-like gametype to feature in Halo 4.
They could also take space missions from Star Wars Battlefront 2 to Spartan Ops in Halo 4. In fact, they could borrow tonnes of stuff from Star Wars Battlefront 1 and 2, especially since they’re not even being made anymore.

I was extremely sad when they announced the cancellation of Battlefront 3. =,(

Yes, but, you cannot spawn or change your loadout at those territories like you could in Star Wars Battlefront.

You can never emulate another game perfectly using Halo’s custom games system sadly.

I know, they should have a lot more ‘open’ options. Including different ways to spawn, changing ‘x’ at a certain time, changing ‘x’ at a certain building and a whole lot more.

There’s also the fact that you can’t carry a torch that can repair vehicle health or ammo resupply bots or healing bots.
Well, I got to say that sounds like a good idea OP
Maybe not for every game type (obviously) but for some game types/modes it could be really cool. Especially if you say in BTB, had one red/blue command post in each base, then some neutral ones on the field that you could capture if you wanted to.
On a smaller map just 1 in the middle, while on bigger maps you get 3. Can be combined with territories for extra blazing glory/madness!
Yes, I would love this.
I now kinda want someone to recreate a Star Wars Battlefront II map.

It’s never the same in Halo.

At least I still have my PS2 and my SWBF2 dist to play it to my heart’s content for both nostalgia and the awesome take on FPSs that is leagues above most modern FPSs aside from Halo and a few others imo.

If they have a desert themed forge map or a volcanic forge map with stone pieces (desert) or Forerunner pieces, I would make Mos Eisely or Mustafar in a heartbeat.
Edit: Although, I do have a fondness of Kamino. close to long range combat has never been so good together than it ever was for that map.
If Halo 4 or any of its sequels have it Invasion I wouldn’t mind. Invasion was kind of loose rip off of Battlefield IMO. That would be pretty cool actually Battlefield type play list. More than likely wouldn’t happen but yeah I will miss invasion if its not in.
All of you just dont want halo to be original do you.
