Coming later down the road

Does 343 have any idea how tiring it is for us to sit here for months on end and hear nothing but “(basic standard feature from every other halo game) is coming later down the road!”

It’s honestly pathetic what a shell of a game we have. Saddening

Ok. So what would you rather they do? there are only two options 1) they say THAT or 2) they give you a date (i.e. launching with Season 3) and then fail to meet it and piss everyone off.

Since the Co-op Campaign and Forge delays, they know its better to give a date when they are ABSOLUTELY SURE and say “its in the works” until then. So far, “coming down the road” has equated to less than a year and, IMO Halo has continued to be fun to play (only aggravating when I don’t want to accept that I suck at the game sometimes) so I’m willing to wait that time for well constructed updates.

I’m just done making excuses for them. They act like they’re an indie dev studio and it’s pathetic. They’re a decade plus old studio backed and funded by one of the biggest companies on earth with one of the most popular military sci fi Franchises of all time next to Star Wars and trek. Just astonishing we waited 6 years just for them to launch a bare bones barely functioning game and then spend 6 months after release talking about how all the standard features the other games managed to ship with are “coming down the road”. It’s just sad.

Their new throwaway line is “future updates”.

Also they have abandoned the campaign.

I’m pretty sure they know how most of the fans feel, at least the devs and community managers do. The higherups? Lol.

At this point I’m gonna let the content speak for the game. Their words and blogposts? Hot air until we see actual changes. I’m not gonna write off the game, but I will judge how they are treating the players and the IP with what they put out as the year progresses.

Until then, MCC.

The fact is: those things are not in the game right now and therefore need to be built. It’s not like you can just take code from an old game and dump it in there.

The conclusion is: it won’t magically appear all at once. They need to prioritize certain stuff to do first and push off other stuff to do later. It’s of course debatable if they have their priorities straight (and even the community can’t agreee there: some state everything should be dropped for desync, others to get maps, others again modes, etc.)

That doesn’t excuse that they launched without some of the stuff that was typically there at launch of past titles. But I can understand that those features will only come piece by piece.
