With the recent post about the new HCS updates for Halo 5, 343 admitted that less people are focused on Halo 5, and the majority on the next game. That’s great, and I think that most people would agree that we want the next game to be better than the last, and hopefully 343 delivers. But for the people like me, who still enjoy Halo 5’s multiplayer and forge, this is kind of saddening. Many other recent games (not all) have sort of died off within a couple months. It’s been almost 3 years, and people are still playing, still making videos, and still playing esports for Halo 5. Not to mention, the community is still thriving. There little chance that Halo 5 will see another content update, and if the next Halo game is an FPS, then Halo 5 may lose its population. Before this happens, I call on 343 and the community to put together a will, listing everything we want before Halo 5 dies, or even after it dies.
I wish for some small things, such as the ability to turn off the nav markers on weapon pads, or for 343 to finish the “brute” weapons which were found in the game files, maybe even improve forge’s performance and add more object space if possible. Thoughts?
I have always been happy with halo’s cycle between games. I am happy with what they have done with this game and with the new changes they have made with the playlists. Adding oddball has made Arena infinitely more fun to play. Having two rotational playlists is a god send for when I decide to take off my sweat bands. My only hope to this game is to see an odball rotation in social and halo 2 br rotation a few more times before halo 6. I would die if they made a rotational social neutral flag playlist before the next game or I can wait for it in 6.
This is alright to me as there has never been a Halo that has been this balanced and has been given so many content updates. this may create a issue with some fans as once they stop rolling out content, they get bored of the game quickly. Multiplayer is very solid in this game even though it is a bit stressful but I am still bitter on just how bad the campaign was.

I don’t know about the Halo 5 community thriving, it seems like the HWC has been doing better but that’s all I can think of. If anything, it seems like less people are playing it. Besides, unless Halo 6 somehow turns out to be worse than Halo 5 (which I don’t see that happening after all the hate 343 got about it) then it’s going to die anyway. Halo 5 is definitely not a fan favorite.

To comfort you, I don’t think Halo 5 will die anytime soon. People still play ALL the other Halos, local or online (those who still are playable online) not counting MCC. People play that too.
People still play Halo 3.
People still play Halo Reach.
People still play Halo Wars.
I know people that plug in their original Xbox and play Halo CE and Halo 2 local custom.
Halo will never die.
When Halo 6 drops, people will try it. And the people who can’t adapt or doesn’t like the game will go back to the older ones. And as far as customs go, Halo 5 has amazing forge. So since people still rock it in Halo Reach custom games, they won’t quit Halo 5 for a looong time.
