“I find it funny how all the topics trying to pull this community back together with paperclips and glue are getting locked or flamed by everyone not trying. People like to yell at each other with baseless facts and opinions instead of saying “oh you have a different opinion than me” and moving on and having a beer (or soda for younger players) together. 343 is doing their best after Bungie ditched the series and is no going downhill with their Destiny game (forcing players who got the game early to either pay $120 or $140 for a complete game, but that’s besides the point).
I find it funny how a there are players getting mad at 343I for not giving us every single little detail and getting mad that Firefight or Spartan Ops (a game hated on and discontinued because of player feedback). And we like to forget that we were promised a lot of things for CE that never came to be, one example is the ability to use a sword (yes we got it later but that is besides the point). We like to forget that Combat Evolved was supposed to have 25 levels/missions instead of 10. We like to ignore the fact that Halo 2 had it’s third act cut from the game due to time constraints and a lot of other features (sprint being amongst them) were cut as well.
Would I have liked to have a complete game at launch, hell yeah I would have like most of you. But do I mind waiting for them to actually polish the extra parts and give it to us instead of another MCC debacle? No I don’t mind waiting. 343I has arguably given us the best multiplayer we have had in a long time, and no matter the yelling and whining I find that that is something we all agree on as a community.
Everybody has their different views of it, some hate the campaign (and I find some hate misplaced on the false claim that we were told we would play as MC more, we weren’t) and some love it like I do.
I find it funny how some of you forget that the creating of a video game is an art form and the playing of it is a passion. We all used to share the passion to play Halo and be together as a community, did we argue? Yeah, but did that lessen anything? No. Now all I see is fans saying “I’m a vet, your opinion doesn’t matter” and putting down other fans. People also like to forget that they asked for 60fps and 1080p and yelled for it. And now that we have it we are dissatisfied because they had to take out a dying feature to give us what we wanted.
You guys/gals like to forget what we came from. Now I am almost ashamed (like others like myself on this forum) to call myself a Halo fan because that word, this community has just been riddled with anger and venom and people nit-picking over minor things.
Hell I know that I will get spammed with flame and probably locked for this but this is something we have to get back, our community and our love for this art form.”
And I find it funny how again topics trying to pull us together get locked.
This is a place for you to further discuss this problem and talk over what you like or dislike about Halo 5 or where Halo is going. But remember we are a community of passionate gamers and shouldn’t step on each other because we have a different view than other people.

It got locked for no reason and a few people were discussing the topic so I decided to recreate the post. Especially seen as how everyone should see this and posts like this which all seem to get locked for no reason by “mods”.

What makes you think this one won’t get locked if the first one did?
Honest question.
My thoughts:
- Reposting locked content is a good way to get banned. I have no idea whether this is doing that or not.
- Most of those threads were locked for being complain about complainers threads, which doesn’t help anything.
- For that matter, most of these “bring people together” threads are just thinly veiled attempts to bash on a specific section of the community (the “purists” in most cases), with no actual sincere goal of bringing people together.
There’s more but, lets see if the thread even lasts that long.

It probably will. But then again I will continue to recreate this post and any other I find like it that gets locked for no reason like I have seen many others get locked in the past. As my original post stated many posts trying to bring people back together randomly get locked or flamed out of existence.

Yet this isn’t that. This is complaining about the community as a whole. I feel no need to “bash” one side or the other but to bring people together no matter the differences. It is a way to properly discuss what you feel is missing or what needs to be changed without us bashing each other and without us flaming and trolling each other as I see is often the case in these forums and find it a little funny how quite a few go unlocked/noticed by moderators.

You are slightly bashing those of us who criticize Halo 5. In a more subtle manner. And no I’m not a troll.
It’s because (as has been stated) this is essentially a thread complaining about complainers (justified or not). It’s circular and accomplishes nothing other than potential flaming.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. It’s because it’s 343 and not Bungie. They can’t handle that there is another dev at the helm of the franchise and they want to throw hate at it that would have otherwise been swept under the rug. Of course H5 isn’t perfect, but there isn’t a game (especially an FPS’) that is. Are we really complaining about what 343 has given us when Bungie (the company that made IMO the best MP ever) has also created one of the worst MP ever in Destiny? They are getting better and eventually they will get a handle on the right balance between competitive and casual. Although for my 2 cents, a competitive game can be played casually but you cannot play a casual game competitively.

Actually I am not. I am not bashing on anybody. I am stating that people are yelling and shouting at each other and that is not what the Halo Community is about.

Yes there are those who hate for hates sake and I find quite a few but there are those with legitimate claims like the lack of content which I personally don’t mind as they are giving it to us shortly along with free DLC to make up for it. I absolutely love Halo 5 but I can understand the people who don’t. And I can understand the few people who are sad that their friends don’t play it because that makes the game 10x more fun. Good thing I have quite a few friends who are always on Halo 5.

“I find it funny” sure doesn’t sound very nice first off. This thread smells like sarcasm. You claim that the whole community cried for 60fps/1080p and then cried again when split screen was removed, but that is not all of us. Deal with it, a lot of us want split screen. And the amount of content? We should be happy about that and move on? No, we complain to have our voices heard for 343i to fix things.
Also you stating that “Bungie ditched Halo” has a negative connotation and it is full of bias. You might hate Bungie for supposedly ditching us, but maybe they didn’t want to do Halo forever. And don’t compare Halo 5 to CE and 2, those games were great at that time. Obviously compared to Halo 5 it would seem to lack content. This doesn’t make sense.
In short, you’re telling us complainers to deal with Halo 5 and become one happy family. I find that funny.
Plus bashing on the mods for accusing them of preventing unity or missing these complain complainers threads is not nice at all.
