Alright look I’m not one to complain and this will probably be the only time I ever make a thread because at this point I’m done with the DMR it didn’t bother me at first, but now since I’m working my way through through other weapons commens. I can’t even put up a fight against a team of 8 people all using the (I’ll just yoink myself with this one) The yoinking DMR.
Don’t get me wrong I’ll still get 15-20 kills even with missing half my team (Another huge issue but that’s for another time), but my point is it’s overly used and overly abused. Even with a Halo that has the most weapons a Halo game has ever had there is absolutely no variety to the gameplay I’ve seen. And I’m sure your all sick of seeing these threads but really REALLY I want to see a population percentage by individual weapons of how many total players use the DMR the most.
I don’t mind the 4 shot kills there all other guns that you can accomplish that with LightRifle for example but that actually requires skill to use. (And you can’t bend yoinking bullets around corners with it cough DMR cough). And I’m sorry ahead time for ranting but honestly if I scroll through another Big Team game and the entire teams most used weapon is the DMR, I’m probably done with this game and it’s a shame because I honestly love this game and this series and have been playing it now for hmmm going on 11 years I’m pretty sure (I can still remember the Halo CE LAN party’s) and if you took the time to read this I’m sure you have and can too. Don’t nerf the power I’m not asking that or saying it but decrease the fire rate incredibly or maybe take away the curving bullets do something because it cannot remain in the state that it is now.
Halo’s always required some type of skill to play and be semi good at and with the DMR that is no longer the case it’s a disgrace of a weapon and if your using it just to max the commendation and never touch it again like me (Have been done and moved onto other guns for a while now) then kudos to you, you actually have some integrity in the Halo universe.
So it seems to me that this majorly became a problem for you when you decided to get commedations for the battle rifle/covie carbine? So this is the first question i’ll ask. What did you expect? You made a conscience decision to use the DMR first because you knew it dominated at the longest ranges and was the most reliable in general. You knew it was easiest which is why you picked it first so don’t lecture us on integrity.
So instead of saying what everyone else no doubtedly will say (ie noob ltp) I’ll say this, use firepower as a tactical package, with the DMR, plus whatever weapon you’re working on. This will server two purposes. 1 it will increase your survivability, and 2 it will help you understand the viable weapon ranges in which you can be at an advantage with your weapon of choice.
If you choose to ignore the advice and turn this into an argument you’re waisting your time cuz i don’t plan on replying again unless it’s usefull discourse.
No argument I actually am doing that with a LightRifle Supp. combination but the DMR actually wasn’t the first I maxed out it was the BattleRifle and SAW and was working on the pistol and gave up because I got tired of playing SWAT then the next weapon with the most kills was the DMR so I just finished it to get it out of the way. So integrity yes I have it, I didn’t go salvating over the DMR the second it came into my hands and it wasn’t my first choice I only did what was logical in the order of my commendations.

Exactly, I guess the majority of people that don’t realize are those that equip a dmr in every loadout. I still continue to change it up a lot, regardless of commendations. You can still manage without the dmr. I use it one maps like solace or complex.
