Combine the 1-50 system, and the cR system in Halo 4

Here is my idea. Lets have both 1-50 Rank system and the cR Rank system.

The 1-50 system from Halo 2/3 should be incorporated in all ranked playlists. That way once people put there time and effort into a playlist, they can see their Trueskill and get matched up with people with a similar score. This should not effect rank or unlockable armor.

Thats should be reserved for the cR ranking system from Halo Reach. Every game you play will give you X about of cR. That gives you money to buy armor for your spartan. And as an extra RPG touch, the cR acts like exp in order to rank up (level up) your spartan (so you can buy more armor). Player should not be matched up according to rank but Trueskill.

Result: The competitive players get what they what. Some way or form or reason to play. Weather it be to reach lvl 50 and say “I’m the best” or the fact they will know that the people on their team are not noobs.

The casuals (thats me), also get what they want. Getting rewarded for the most simplest of tasks. Buying armor and what not. bang bang pew pew.

I think they should be comletely separate, i think you should rank up like you did in Halo 3, but every game you should get x amount of credits

I want 1-50 back but maybe keeping the credit system in for when you win games would be nice.

Global ranking system like in Reach for the whole game, then 1-50 on the Ranked/Arena Playlists.

That, to me, seems like the best solution.

Agreed. Both have their benefits and neither detracts from the other.

I don"t feel the 1-50 ranking system to be an accurate reading of skill to be honest. Even though I said that I would like it back. Made the game feel more high stakes. Though I’ll probably stroke out eventually from pure rage.
