Stupid question, but can you launch the power weapon to yourself to get this medal or does it have to be a teammate that launches it with the sticky grenade?
You can launch it yourself. You can even get the medal if you don’t immediately catch the weapon. I’m not sure what the timeout is, but I’ve missed weapons and had to run and pick them up and I’ve still got the medal

Thanks. Pretty much the only “style” medal I’ve never gotten, although never really specifically tried for it. What with other teammates and enemies also being around the power weapons and all.

Thats how I got it the only time I ever did, it bounced and I caught it and got it that way.

I may have accidentally caused a couple betrayals attempting this medal. lol Both times, I picked up the power weapon, waited for my betrayed teammate, and dropped it at their feet hoping for forgiveness. Both times, they ended just betraying me instead. lol
I can’t remember exactly how I finally got the medal, but I would stick with small maps in Slayer where the weapon respawn timers are low and map control often changes. Actually, now that I think about it, I believe I launched the weapon when no one was near it, and it flew across the map to someone completely oblivious to the weapon recently spawning, dropping it right in their path.

I have a couple alley oops from other teammates grabbing the weapons.
Basically nobody can be around. I’m sure I’ll get one at some point, would like to complete the “style” medal chest.
I kind of trolled my teammate last night by doing that. He was going to grab the grenade launcher and I threw a sticky nade which blew it to me right before he was on it.
I learned how to throw plasma nades at every launch pad on every map because of this medal. The hardest one was the rocket launcher on yellow tower on Coliseum. The medal has even glitched for me a few times. I received the medal both after catching it from a teammate’s launch (so they got the alley-oop) and from the enemy’s launch (so I guess they didn’t get the alley-oop since I wasn’t their teammate?).

Interesting. I would have thought only your own team on either end of the sticky grenade would trigger either medal.
Interesting I did not know you can throw it at the weapon and pick it up yourself. I always thought you would have to luckily find a random plasma hit the power weapon and run to pick up the item.
