I’m colour-blind. My coulour-blind “type” is Deuteranomaly, which means I have trouble distinguishing pink from gray or blue from purple. I also cannot see red against a green background. I can see all the colours, I just have trouble distinguishing certain colours against a certain background or have trouble distinguishing colours from one another.
In all honesty, this has never affected my ability to play Halo. I can still see players, vehicles and weapons etc. However, playing games with colour-blind options helps immerse me in the game more easily because certain colours are more visible/discernable and I get better enjoyment out of it. Just the act of putting colour-blind options in a game really makes me feel included and happy that someone took the time to put those accessibility options in the game.
If Halo Infinite includes colour-blind options, the game will feel much more inclusive and will make me feel more comfortable playing it. If these options aren’t included, I’m not really affected by it but would be a little disappointed.
i’m not color blind but in other FPS games (not sure if we’re allowed to mention other games on waypoint) i always change my reticle colors and team name colors. would be cool if that was an option in H Inf

I agree. My issues with h5 is that red team can stand still and I wouldn’t be able to see them at all. I enjoy how For Honor does it when they change the colors of the team client side for color blind people. It really makes people pop when without colorblind mode it’s like trying to find black ants on black paper.
I think this would be a really great idea for 343 to implement into the game. I don’t suffer from it myself, but I know plenty of people that do in various ways.
I don’t understand why more companies don’t implement this. It shouldn’t be that hard and would help a lot of people. I’m not colour blind, but I know people who are but that shouldn’t and doesn’t matter, as this should be just a staple in video games in the industry I feel.
So I hope Halo Infinite has a colour blind mode and 343I brings attention to this by saying it should be an industry standard.
I don’t know why we can’t change the colours of both teams.
If I want my team to always be green and my enemy pink… then I should be able to do it (it doesn’t affect what my team-mates are doing on their screens).
The problems would be;
Rooster Teeth will need a new name for “Red vs Blue”.
Televised / broadcast games will need eye friendly / consistant colours to be enforced.
You need to change the names of the call out / map areas (eg. no longer ‘Blue’ base).
I would love to see this implemented in Halo since I’m Red-Green Colorblind myself. I’ve had a couple of friendly fire incidents due to indistinguishable team colors.
