I saw a video on youtube suggesting that 343i might already be working on a new halo title. If that’s true, i think a cool and generous idea would be to allow players to keep all the coatings they bought/earned from halo infinite into the next halo title, that way we don’t have to buy the our favorite colors/coatings twice.
Thoughts?
Please don’t get your hopes up. I highly doubt 343 is working on another main Halo game.
My best guesses are; a big story DLC coming later, or maybe a Halo mobile game coming out at some point or possibly even Halo Wars 3 which is a spin-off.
I just don’t see them working on another big, huge Halo game this early. Especially with them whining about how overworked they have been and with how much work is still needed on Infinite.
Coating should be replaced by Patterns. Then allow people to pick which colors fit where as they please.
This way, I don’t have to hope that someone at 343i has the same taste in colors as I do and gives me as well as everyone one else more individual freedom when creating our Spartans.
First of all: Have you seen the sources exact words that the youtuber was using to base that assumption off of? From memory, the company Certain Affinity is making a new Halo game mode. There’s not much info out there besides that.
See how Call of duty had “Warzone” side-by-side with (the new) Modern Warfare 1’s multiplayer? That may be the kind of situation we are dealing with. I know very little about Warzone but it is based heavily off of the same multiplayer engine and was a part of a long-term plan. That could be the kind of situation we are dealing with. I think there’s also likely to be story-based DLC.
Honestly? Don’t expect anything until the day it releases. 343i has a great record of doing some things right while simultaneously doing other things wrong.
Yeah, this game is going to be around for another 9 years minimum.
