> As long as they use one colour (and not, say, 8) and the colour isn’t too bright, I’m fine with it.
Agreed, as long as people just use ONE color! Then I have no problem with it. There has been members who have used as many colors as they could in one post, that’s annoying attention grabbing people.
But people who use one color in their post, they’re not trying to grab the attention of others, it may look like that, but who cares? If they have one color, and they’re not spamming the rainbow, then it’s not a problem. And you telling them to stop using the color they like, is like me telling a tree to stop having green leaves and brown bark.
If the mods and admins say people can use one color for their whole post, then guess what! You, a new member, have very little say as to rather or not someone can pick his/her own color.
> You’re also given the option to swear (you have the ability to post messages), yet you don’t do it because it’s against the rules.
Um… Where in the rules say you’re not allowed to swear?
In fact, where in the rules saying you can’t use any color other than Black as your main text color?
> What if there was a rule that went like «you shall not attempt to force people to give more importance or priority to your messages by capitalizing every character of its text, coloring it or having shiny emblems next to your massive, throbbing post count [oh wait…]. Post something actually worth reading, or don’t post at all!»?
> I’m pretty sure it would piss off a lot of people.
Again, you’re miss judging people, how would you like it if I thought you was a rude little kid, who just wants attention, and wants to act like he/she owns the forums?
> Call me old fashioned, but I think posting anonymously is the best to ensure good or bad content is taken as so, no matter who posted it.
> Being that impossible in this case, for obvious reasons, I think restricting attentionW-ing to the maximum would be at least, well, expected.
> Or perhaps optional: to have a global option in our Account Settings to disable all colored text. I don’t mind you coloring everything, as long as I don’t have to see it.
How about this…
NO.
