I’m a red-green colorblind guy. (Protanopia) I’ve been really struggling these last few years in distinguishing those colors, and Halo 5’s washed-out color scheme does not help this. Radar is unusable for me, the friendlies look like the enemies, and I find that on covenant-themed maps blue team often has the advantage as I struggle to notice them at times.
I’ve had a blast with Arena so far, and one of my only gripes is the color scheme. I’m simply asking for a colorblind assist, or the ability to change the color contrast to make colors pop out more. Thoughts?
Nothing wrong with options.
I myself am not color blind, but yeah, this is is a big thing that needs to be in the game. I don’t see any reason this wouldn’t be an option.
I have had fun in the Arena so far, but the colors in most of the maps are red and blue. The colors of the player models are red and blue. I too am colorblind and have a lot of trouble discerning whether what I am looking at is indeed a player or just part of the background or map. I wish that there was some way to just change the color of the teams in matchmaking. I am not saying that it should be changed for everyone, but I think that there should be and option to either change the shade of the armor so it doesn’t blend in so much, or we could just have the option to select varying other colors according to what kind of colorblindness you have. I remember that Battlefield 4 had this for the mini-map, but I am talking about what they have for the armor, not just the radar.

I’m moderately color blind as well and have been wishing for this for awhile. It is one of the reasons I prefer the simple clean maps, even forged maps versus the cluttered professionally made maps.
Color blind options in BF4 and destiny were huge for me. I can only hope they smarten up and make it an available option.
