Honestly, this armor coating thing is a huge negative for the game. If 343 really wants to keep them in the game as they are, and don’t want them to change, I don’t see why those who buy the full game, can’t have access to the full color customization. Or if they offered up some paid method to get access to the color selection that’s been in every game since the start. Reducing player choice and customization is a HUGE mistake.
Honestly saw something like this coming ever since they announced the MP would be F2P. Whether you like it or not microtransactions are going to be in the game in the most invasive ways possible and it’s going to hurt the experience of the game.

if they didn’t have colors baked into the coatings, there wouldn’t be an issue. At least I wouldn’t have an issue.

Said in a different post but if they do it like Borderlands 3 where you acquire different skins that’s just patterns that allowed you to choose your colors then I’d be all for it as long as it’s unlockable in game without the need to pay money.
