So after this latest patch Colony seems to be in an even better spot now. Yes he did get hit by the nerf stick his devastating host and hunters brand were nerfed a little but his buffs to goliaths and hunter captain greatly out way them.
With goliaths being viable now a chopper goliath rush might be a thing. 2-3 goliaths and mass choppers with a few engees.
What do you guys think?
I think it makes my goliath expo rush even better. I can have like 10 goliaths with engie swarm at your base in 10 min if you don’t take your mini. I’ve had people rage quit from it.

Honestly, if I wasnt committed to maining Decimus I would most likely be playing Colony this season. Colonies engineer swarm and hunter cap are deadly. I just believe vortex and the warlord is better. Are goliaths decent now?
Fully upgraded Hunter Captain refuses to die
I’ve been playing a lot of colony and I’ve gotten some good use out of goliath skitterer. You only need about 3 goliaths for a quick little generator snipe and it’s pretty hard to stop. The hunter captain is also a beast now and you can really use him as the backbone for your force early on. Since the hunters brand got a slight nerf I’ve also been trying out vehicle symbiotes on my structures for the armor buff making turtling a real option for him now. I would say colony has never been more fun to play and his captain can even take on a forge hog which is very useful now since that thing has a mini nuke launcher.

Colony is my favorite leader and he is very good against Forge and Serena. I did lose to a double Forge today but I was greedy and went second generator instead of building colony early. His late game I think is one of the best. His vehicle drop along with combat repair is amazing… And hunters brand is still very very good
