Final Update: April 28 3:58PM
Ok! We’ve just received verification that the issues some players were experiencing with Colony and the Season Pass have been resolved! Colony will now be accessible and working as expected for Season Pass holders. We’ve also verified that Blitz packs are showing up as well.
NOTE: <mark>If you previously installed the Colony DLC but were one of the players who still couldn’t use the leader (i.e. it was trying to charge you $5.99 and the Blitz packs weren’t present) you will need to RE-INSTALL THE DLC</mark>. To do so, go to the Season Pass and select “Manage” and then you can Uninstall Colony and then Reinstall Colony. It will now work as expected.
Thanks for your patience, we’ll see you online!
Also - We are aware that some players attempting to download the game update on Xbox One are finding it “stuck” at 0%. While there’s nothing we can specifically do to address this, based on personal experience and widespread feedback, you have two options if this happens:
Hard-reset your console, re-launch the game and the download should start. HOWEVER - Doing this will almost certainly result in you having to download the entire 27GB for the whole game rather than just the 10GB patch.
Wait it out. After going through step 1 at the office yesterday, I went to update my console at home and decided to just wait. After 15-20 minutes the download did finally get going and it successfully installed the 10.1GB patch.
This is indeed the issue I’m currently facing on Xbox One, pre-ordered the Ultimate Edition on 12/4/16.
Strangely, I had to reset my Xbox around a month ago due to a preview update failure and when I was re-downloading content not already on my external drive I came to find out that my pre-order copy was now marked as the PC version instead of being the Xbox version. I’m fairly certain I pre-ordered through my Xbox One as I only play and purchase games on it, so I found that quite strange but not an issue since it’s an Xbox Play Anywhere title. However at the time, the Season Pass itself told me I didn’t own it on Xbox One, it now correctly says owned again though I can no longer “install” it to the Xbox One like it was before the reset but that hasn’t affected anything.
I can install Colony by going to the Halo Wars 2 Season Pass on the Xbox Store (on Xbox One), but the game itself still tells me to purchase it from the store and gives the $5.99 price tag despite being installed. The Xbox Store entry for Colony itself agrees with this, showing it is installed but tells me to buy it for $5.99. Interestingly, checking the Windows Store on Windows 10 shows Colony as owned, further adding to the confusion since it is an Xbox Play Anywhere title and thus owning one means you also own the other.
I wonder if those affected are in the same situation as I am, where their copy is marked as being for the opposite system than they play on.
Frequently I have been kicked out of matches at about the 5 minute mark which also been accompanied with the main menu music being played through those games. After I have been taken back to the main menu I am told I was desynched from other players which prior to this I had no issue of this sort.
This has happened in roughly half the games I have played today. Note than all these games included was when I was playing the new Colony leader.

> Hi - The team is aware that some players who own the season pass are unable to use the Colony leader. They’re currently in the process of investigating and escalating with the marketplace team. Many of us at the studio are experiencing the same issue - I own the season pass but it prompts me to spend $5.99.

I just installed the new update with no problem and i also have the pre order version of the ultimate edition and have been able to use the new leader just fine, by the way don’t use wifi, if you have cable use it, use wired connection because I used to have network issues but it was because of the wifi connectivity and then after doing a research i read that some xbox one S version the wifi card have been having issues so after i changed to wired connection i haven’t had any network issues, so that might be a solution, i don’t know.

Did you pre-order for Xbox One or was this the Win10 version that has play-anywhere on Xbox One? Test team believes this issue is only impacting the PC Pre-Order ultimate bundle customers.

This is the issue for me. I use my Xbox to play out pre-ordered on PC with the play anywhere. Are we able to get a redeem code or something? I think we’ve all been waiting long enough for this leader.

As I never intended to play it on PC in the first place, I remember thinking to make sure I got the Xbox One version to avoid any possible issues that might arise with play anywhere to make sure I got the HW1: Definitive Edition code back in December for early access and the eventual early access for HW2 itself when it came out as well.
I pre-ordered Halo Wars 2 Ultimate Edition on PC and had this issue until about midnight EDT last night.
I now have the Colony Leader Pack installed but it did not award me Blitz packs with the new leader pack like it did for the Kinsano Leader Pack. Are you able to push the Colony Leader Pack Blitz packs out to me?

Can you select the new leader in the characters ?, because I also pre-order the ultimate edition on PC but I can’t use the character, the game send me to the store on xbox, but in PC i can use the character BUT i don´t have the DLC BLITZ packs.

Incorrect. I am experiencing problems with my Xbox One Ultimate Edition and I didn’t pre-order.
Not impressed. You need to seriously rethink how you handle your DLC releases.
I when to GameStop and got a pre-ordered code for halo wars 2 Ultimate Edition on the Xbox one. A few months later the game came out then the 1st DLC leader pack came out (Kinsano) and i had problems downloading the pack eventually a few hours later it then allowed me to download it. Now I’m having trouble downloading the 2nd DLC (Colony). I think the problem is its getting confused with the PC version and all I want to do is play Halo wars 2 on the Xbox one not PC. When will this problem be fixed so it doesn’t happen again.
Thanks all - What you’re describing above is what the team is aware of and has been working on. There was an issue up on the marketplace side which required the content to be re-configured and re-deployed for some scenarios which unfortunately takes hours to fully propagate. We are still in a holding pattern, waiting for this to land and verify that it fixes the problem.

Yes.
I’m logging into the game right now after work and have the 5 DLC Blitz packs finally, so that resolves the issue for me. screenshot: http://imgur.com/a/uszob
Hey folks, we believe all issues are resolved and Colony is now working correctly for everyone! Please see the OP for an important note in case you were one of the folks who were experiencing issues earlier (you’ll need to reinstall the DLC content). thanks!
Troops being stuck under the map still a problem. Connectivity for multiplayer still a problem. The patch to these problems will be coming, when? Not worth playing till fixed. I’ve had the game bundle for a month or two, but have had the problems since my day one. This is on Xbox one, halo wars console bundle.

Just a minor thing: the pictures are not showing up for Colony’s cards on Waypoint’s Card Library.
