it’s impressive how they managed to -Yoink- on the fanbase by announcing quite possibly the wors’t collector’s edition for a game I’ve ever seen in my life. an ok but pretty boring steelbook, a cool nameplate, a -Yoink- skin and an insulting 15$ gift card is all they could come up with. not even a single poster or a season pass. I understand most people won’t be buying the more expensive edition, but for something I’ve been waiting for for several years now I’d like to at least have a poster to put up in my wall along the halo 4 one that came with the limited edition.
343, you have 3 months. come up with something better.
Yeah there’s nothing of collection value in the “collectors” edition. It’s actually quite ridiculous when EVERYONE knew how quick scalpers were going to take those console editions…
Yeah this is probably the worst Halo collectors edition I’ve seen, Steelbook is cool, Skins & the Pin is not bad, but a $15 Gift Card that I’m probably gonna give to my brother, they could’ve at least put more effort into it
The collector’s edition is the same price as the standard edition in the UK.
I like the Zeta Sky armour coating (bet it would look really nice on something that isn’t MKVII) but there’s no point buying the game for me when it’s on game pass.

I mean, sure I could do that. but buying a separate poster to the collector’s edition isn’t the same as having an official poster, book containing lore and more goodies is something I’d rather get.

I had a feeling something like this would happen.
As more and more people move over to game pass, less people will be buying the physical copy, which could mean less emphasis on things like collectors editions.
I think it would be better if they offered some kind of LE bonus pack that could be bought separately, and would have goodies and download codes for in game items.
I was lucky enough to pre-order a console, which comes with the game, but it’s only a standard copy. If they were to release an LE copy of the game with extras, I’d have to buy twice. Same as anyone on game pass who wanted the LE extras.
It would therefore make sense to off the LE inclusions in a separate pack for those who want them.
I really wish they went with the modern trend of releasing a special edition with a life sized wearable helmet. I mean Fallout 76, Doom Eternal, and Mass Effect all did it, and I’m sure there’s more out there too that have. I’d love to have an actual good Mk VI gen 3 next to my Doom Slayer helmet and not that bad one from last Halloween with the squished top.

I don’t usually buy games either as I can get them thru game pass or, uhh, get threm through less than legal means if they’re SP triple A games as a PC player, but I have a pretty well sized steam library, and I have been waiting for Halo Infinite for years now and I will own it instead of getting it thru game pass. I would appreciate if they at least gave us a digital deluxe, with something like a season pass including the first season and campaign DLCs or something.

I, personally, feel like this is another sign that the campaign hasn’t been a priority for 343 over the course of development. I think they mainly focused on developing an absolutely amazing f2p multiplayer experience and when the campaign comes out it’s going to be… *okay…*It seems like with each bit of news we receive and everything we’re told, the subtext of what we’re being told is “the multiplayer will be great, but you might want to lower your expectations waaaay down for campaign.”

I think they should offers a standard edition of the campaign, which comes with free pass to that season, and the deluxe edition would come with all seasons in that year.
I think they’ve said the first season won’t come with the campaign, but I think it would actually befit them in the long run, as it would hook players into enjoying the progression and rewards, and make them more likely to pick up the best season.
Plus, getting a free season with each campaign would help to quell the worries of the price point.
Hopefully we get more info on how the game actually functions in the coming weeks.
I’m wondering if there will be a digital collector’s edition. I know that’s a common trend to offer the digital items of collector’s editions with in a digital only store, though here that would only be the pre-order bonuses.

I’ve also been seeing this. aside from the forge situation, I feel like this multiplayer is going to be the best of all the franchise, with a storyline even, but the campaign will only be good enough.

I don’t think there are any bonuses for preordering online, at least for now…

that sounds pretty good tbh. or something like what fortnite does, giving vbucks as rewards for daily challenges or such only in the paid save the world mode.
