Hey I’m back after months. Anyway, I’ve been thinking about this for a year now and now I’m finally making a thread about it, what should be in the two editions and how much should they cost

Anyways, I think theres going to be four, Pre-Order, Standard, Gold, Platinum (I doubt Gold and Platinum will be their name though)
The pre-order will come with the version you bought, as well as some little gifts either in real life (like fallout 76, but better) and a unique set of spartan armour.
Gold and Platinum will probably have weapon skins (like borderlands 3)
I would asume 343 will repeat halo reach and halo 3 style editions

Sure! Ok so halo 3, halo reach, and halo 5 had legendary editions. These editions came with statues, the limited edition, and some extra goodies like in game flaming helmets. Halo 3 legendary edition had The master chief helmet that covered a stand for the game, the stand was also halo 3 themed. It also came with behind the scenes dvds. Halo reach came with a statue of nobel team, the limited edition, and a in game flaming helmet. The limited edition of halo reach had dr halseys journel which was filled with her notes. Im fuzzy on the details of halo 3 limited edition but i think the game case was metal, while the halo reach limited game case was not, but it was in a fancy case. However halo 2, halo 3, halo 5, and halo mcc had metal limited edition game cases. BUT, the halo mcc limited edition was only available in very small numbers in europe. Halo 4 has a limited edition, but no legendary edition. Its limited edition was like reach, it had lore in it and was in a special case.
I forgot to metion halo 5s legendary edition in detail… all i can remember is that it came with a huge statue of locke and chief.
Limited editions cost about $20 more, so $80 but you get several things with it. Such as special in game items and generaly a season pass if the game has that. You also tend to get lore based content like maps or notes from the game. And lastly the limited editions tend to have special cases that are metal or diferent than the regular case.
The price of a legendary edition is generaly $100 plus. I know reachs was $150 and halo 5 was atound $300, plus The legendary editions come with a limited edition, even more lore and swag, some behind the scenes content, and a pretty good sized statue.
ALSO, sometimes if you buy legendary edition, you get to have the game a week or two before the it comes out to the rest of the public. So you get to rank up and beat the Campaign before every one else.
One final note, pre order bonuses tend to give you in-game content like weapon skins

I hope there’s a collector’s edition or at least a bundle coming out for the Xbox Series X.
I just really hope the have more in universe books like Halsey’s journal . I need to see how she went through the events after reach lol . Journal # 2 per say
I would need to see more of Eternal to actually suggest any collectibles for special editions.
I assume there will be some sort of documentation explaining the current situation. There will probably be some ‘low-tech’ themed things like paper journals and such since any advanced electronics could be suspected to be compromised by the created and mainly Cortana.
Halo 5 came with service records that looked to be printed on a digital tablet.
For a collector addition, I would like to see 343 make a helmet replica of Master Chief’s helmet. As for the legendary addition, I am not so sure, but I have a feeling that the box will be similar to how it was for Halo 4 and 5. It could be some type of steel case booklet with bits of lore hidden inside, maybe a dog tag.

And Finally a legendary limited edition console xbox series X that comes with the legendary edition of Halo infinite 650$ ( two custom controllers) unless Halo goes 4 player again ,then I’d say 4 different custom controllers for 750$ at launch. Tiny lore stuff is a given in anything except standard.

I’d be okay with something like this. However I highly doubt you’ll be getting two controllers. But maybe if they really wanna push that couch coop aspect.
Honestly I would love another statue. OR Darksiders-esque statuettes of like Chief, Arby, Attriox, and one or two others.
I would like to see something more along the lines of Halo 3 or Reach when come to editions of the game.
Pre-order bonus could be a helmet, nameplate or even just getting the game early.
Standard game should just be the game itself, maybe some Xbox Live Gold (If that’s still around).
Limited Edition I think could be the Standard game in a steel book, as well as contain a code for something cosmetic (similar flaming helmet or Recon) and some extra page/s about the lore.
Legendary Edition, just package the Limited edition in a statue or helmet related to the game.
Not the most original ideas, but something that is affordable to constantly produce.
Edit: Forgot to add a console bundle as well with a Infinite themed controller.
Would love a Cortana/Chief statue for Legendary Edition. But a new helmet is fine.
