Its not game breaking but it can be used in MP to get an advantage. I can see why it was patched out.
Ok but honestly, I do not think the average joe will even bother with that. As you said, these are things you have to go out of your way to do. It is a fun trick and I am bummed that it is no longer here. Along with the tank gun.

The Coil Jumping being removed makes sense because it could very easily be used as an exploit in PvP (especially if they ever added any bigger PvP modes) and you can’t really just…have it in Campaign and not in PvP, since it’s an engine level-physics thing you have to change.

Same. It was of course much more easier to simply grab a coil and run toward your enemy and throw it, but the satisfaction of pulling the trick and getting the kill was worth it
