I just looked over my reqs during a match and I noticed something that I found odd. The SMG and dmr Cog Sights cost 6 and 8 respectively which seems weird since as we all know the SMG costs 4 energy and the dmr costs 6. I might be in the minority but I don’t think the cog sight’s effect warrants such a req cost (don’t get me wrong I love the effect it gives I just don’t feel the effect warrants the cost.)

I’m not worried about it. I don’t really like the cog sight functionally. Cons outweigh the pros. I guess because it reads and displays enemy health it’s considered more advantageous, and thusly a higher req? Who knows.
Which is weird because the Assault Rifle’s COG sight is level 1.

You can also see people who are invisible if you scope in. In addition to displaying the shields and/or health of the target when you smart link. It’s mostly useful on the AR and BR. It’s zoom isn’t very far for me to justify putting on a DMR or SMG IMO.

Seems weird to have it on the SMG tbh
I love the COG sight hate the req lvl needed though great sight since it outlines a enemy never noticed it tracked health.

Pretty much explain why it has the assigned req level. It’s great to use when you have are playing a premade team, spamming prophets banes or camo+blaze of glory.

Also I had no idea that it spots out camo guys. Guess I hadn’t run into many camo users during my time using it

It pretty clearly means “premade team spamming prophets banes or camo+blaze of glory.” He was probably typing on his phone or something. Waypoint acts weird on mine.

Although I prefer the classic BR design that’s the only main reason I like it too, but now I know all the good things it can do now.

Yep you are correct, iPad.
Yeah I liked the COG variants and some of the other variants they’ve introduced but never use them cuz they are above the base level. And after I get past the base level I always upgrade my gun to the extended mag version or silenced
