COD4 Remastered is more popular than Halo 5...

so wouldn’t you guys think it would be effective for 343 to add Halo 3 Anniversary to the Halo 6 release, just as Activision did with Infinite Warfare? I know 343 confirmed there’d be no Halo 3 Anniversary, but since the next major Halo installment will either completely sink or revive the franchise, I thought it is an interesting idea to discuss.

As everyone knows, the Call of Duty community was livid over another futuristic installment with silly mechanics, and rumor has it that the next game will take place during WWII. Infinite Warfare’s flop and Modern Warfare Remastered’s success has certainly influenced the direction of the Call of Duty franchise, which is why Halo 3 Anniversary might be the best thing for the Halo franchise, as it would juxtapose Halo 6 and ultimately determine which sort of gameplay fans prefer.

I am not trying to belittle Halo 5, but it has seen small population numbers compared to other Halo titles, and is thriving off microtransactions which certainly does not define a successful game. Since Halo 6 will likely be like Halo 5 in terms of gameplay, I wanted to hear opinions from you guys.

CoD is dead and why bring this up in a Halo forum?

Well for one you can’t compare the 2. Since one is only on Xbox the other on PlayStation and xbox…

why so toxic? what a sad representation of the community if that is the response to some who is concerned for the franchise. Call of Duty 4 Remastered has more active players on Xbox live than Halo 5, let alone the MCC. How is it dead?

It is completely relevant on the Halo forums since Halo 3 and COD4 were the most popular games in the world within the first few years they released.

It’s dying, not dead* Let’s not forget that Call of Duty has 2 games in the top 15 and 3-5 in the top 50, while Halo only has 2 in the top 50 (low 20’s and mid 40’s). Not a CoD fanboy, I just like the facts.

From the forum rules:

People can play what they want to play, that’s pretty much all there is to it.
