Cod ghosts "blatantly" rips off halo 4

Wow, I did not see this coming…

So halo 4, the game that was famous for allegedly ripping off cod, got RIPPED OFF by cod…

Pretty ironic, isn’t it…

Know at first, I didn’t think of the first few little rips I found as blatant, but more inspired by the series. Such as maps that are designed almost exactly like exile (flood) , settler ( Stonehenge), and abandoned (octane).

It wasn’t to bad, just a “that’s cool” kinda thing…

Then there was the extinction game mode, a brand new game mode where 1 player starts of as the infected, carry a 1 hit kill melee weapon. And the rest of the players starting of as solders, each carrying a pump action shotgun… The goal is to infect as many players as possible before a set amount of time to win… Once your killed by an infected, you become one, knife and all…

Sound familiar, that’s because this is just like halo 4’s flood mode… I mean EXACTLY the same, the infected even have an extremely similar FP view as when playing a flood, only difference being its black tinted instead of red…

If this doesn’t convince you though the new enemies in the “extinction mode” should convince you…

In extinction, you fight against a group of constantly respawning aliens that’s walk on 4 legs, tend to stick to walls, jump slowly and dramatically to your position if your elevated for them , and shoot some substance fro their tails…

Again, sound familiar?

The aliens are an almost exact copy of the alpha crawlers from he halo 4 campaign, they only changed the design of the alien fro the alpha. Otherwise they’re exactly the same…

Well, I guess halo 4 was pretty influential after all. Particularly to a certain development team that makes these certain military war shooters every year…

Trust me, it’s not…

Infected mode is pretty broken right now, it’s way to easy to kill and infected with the maps being so big and the shotguns being 1hk at such far distances… Lunge for the knife is gone now too

And extinctions is too glitchy right now to even give a chance… It’s almost impossible to tell wether the enemy is attacking or just jumps in your face

dude they have a had a zombies type game like that for a while now…it was a community creation i played on mw3 i think…it had its own playlist back then…sounds like you are seeing what you want to see to me.

The maps look, play, are are designed nothing like Halo 4’s, Infection has existed for years both inside and outside of Halo, and Halo 4 isn’t the first game to have four-legged wall-crawlers.

I looked through those maps but didn’t really notice any similarities.

I know that Infection was very popular around Halo 2’s lifespan. But I’m not necessarily sure Halo 2 invented the gametype. Infection could’ve been around for much longer than that for all I know.

Extinction is nothing new. Survival modes are nothing new. Crawler type enemies are nothing new. Those have existed forever.

Anyways, and more importantly, why should I care what Ghosts is doing?

You might want to play the game first before making false statements.

The “Infection” game-type has been a thing since Counter Strike. Halo (by the same standard) copied a Quake mod (CTF)

The Crawlers are pretty generic enemy types (just with a “Forerunner” skin), just like the aliens in Ghosts.

Really, Halo 4 is just a pretty generic FPS. Doesn’t try anything new, just copy other games, so when other FPS put in BASIC game-types, it seems they copy Halo 4, but Halo 4 is just generic.

They took Settler? They can have it. That map is garbage.

I haven’t played the Extinction mode but I don’t really see the similarities in the maps you mentioned.
