Gonna go ahead and bump this every so often because even if its deleted I’ll know some moderator somewhere saw this and took the time to look at it. What I am really curious to know, is why there is ZERO communication from the developers to the players WHO BOUGHT YOUR GAME THAT PAID YOUR SALARY. WE DESERVE BETTER THAN THAT. You slapped halo MCC together just in time to release it for the holidays to get the most money possible WHEN YOU KNEW THE GAME WAS BROKEN. We are now five months after the initial release of Halo MCC and the “patches” you have released have done zero to improve on the big issues of the game. Why can’t someone just step forward and apologize, SINCERELY APOLOGIZE. If any other company pulled this -Yoink-, you can bet their stock would plummet and they would go bankrupt. I hope that is you someday 343. If not a single one of you earns another dollar to feed yourself or ANY of your families I would sleep happily because you ROBBED THE LOYAL HALO FANBASE BLIND and karma is just the biggest -Yoink-.
If I don’t like something - I say it (like last time, if that patch realy annoyed me - done now btw :p).
But if I like something, I feel to say that, too.
And even if there is a lot of work left - or maybe possible - to put into the game; I wouldn’t say that the patches have done nothing good. Nor the programers don’t care about the game.
Also I wouldn’t say that they done nothing right.
If you are too emotional you can become unfair realy fast.
Just saying …

The moderators, SEC3OPS or Community Engineers are in no way employed by 343, so that really wouldn’t make a difference if we read this post or not.

When you bought your copy of MCC, it in no way paid anybody at 343’s salary. 343 developers are Microsoft employees, and as anybody who knows anything about simple business knows, employees are paid the same regardless of how well their product does. The only time this isn’t a factor is if somebody was self employed. I’m an employee for a company and I am paid the same money per week regardless of how good or bad we do in sales. The only people your money went to is the store you bought the game from.

Your exact quote is "the “patches you have released have done zero to improve on the big issues of the game”. I think the majority of people will disagree with you on this since the patches, while not fixing every issue in the game, have allowed the ability to actually play the multiplayer portion of the game. This wasn’t fully possible for everyone at launch, but I think its safe to say almost everybody can actually play the game now with little to no problems.

Bonnie Ross, the Managing Director for 343 Industries, actually did come forward as posted a full formal apology for the ongoing issues of the game a few months back. This was when the compensation was announced.

Since 343 is a subsidiary development department of Microsoft, I think its highly doubtful they would actually go bankrupt any time soon. Microsoft will simply fund 343’s development for as long as they see fit, and if they did feel the need to close them for whatever reason, any employees would simply be moved onto other projects/departments within Microsoft.

It’s always the same if you are very emotional - you swear and you feel cool and/or brave.
But from outside … it looks only awkward.
And … swearwords create some kind of unconstructive wall …
Imagine this situation: You are a watcher and you see a guy A that gets his repaired car back - from guy B. The repairs are not good at all, the windews are still broken and the exhaust is dragging over the ground.
Guy A starts to swear like hell - with words that are so negatively laoded, that even the worst prisoners won’t use them.
Then you were asked who is in right.
Because of you don’t want to stand on the same level like the swearing guy A, you chose B - although you are sharing A’s opinion.
Well … The good thing is: If you react emotional - it shows that Halo seems to be still an important thing for you.
