Coatings Vs Armor Pieces

Something I have not yet seen discussed. I think the coatings should be built so they also apply to armor pieces. For example, nearly all chest pieces have attachments that are built to the same Gray/Silver color, while in past games, your armor pieces are individually affected by your primary/secondary color choices.

Using the Watchdog coating, for example, has only a few spots on the chest use red as a secondary, but the chest pieces not only obscure the secondary color almost completely; the armor pieces themselves don’t use the same primary silver as the rest of the coating, so they very clearly look like they are just slapped on. I feel this applies to most other coatings currently available as well.

I think it would add a little more value to coatings if they were applied to what we unlock and allow the colors to be fleshed out, rather than covered up by the same gray metal. Thoughts?
