I’ve been pretty hopeful that Infinite will be good, but after hearing about the coating system and talk of microtransactions I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t a bit concerned. I’m on the fence about buying the game after hearing about this. With how things have been sounding as of late it sounds like the game will be some sort of battle royale microtransaction hell.
What are your thoughts about some of the talk going around about Infinite?
F2P multiplayer is the bad omen all on its own.
Next minute campaign becomes secondary and the online play is the main focus with microtransactions being very prevalent.
It’s F2P, it’s gonna be mtx heavy. If that’s your decision maker on whether to play a game or not , then yeah I imagine you’re not going to like Infinite that much. For me, as long as the mtx are cosmetic only and not in the campaign I’m happy. Customization beyond basic options are just a bonus to me. I’ve been wearing the same armour set/colour in H5 for years lol When I have a problem with mtx is when they affect gameplay and become P2W at any level. At the end of the day it’s all about if the gameplay is fun and so far it looks very good to me so from that perspective I’m still very excited for the game.
Honestly I’ll just be happy I’m playing new Halo multiplayer that’s hopefully better than 5.
If the price I pay for full inter-plate customization is that I cant make my Spartan the colors I want right off the bat, I’m willing to pay that price for the moment.
Maybe they’ll add it in later. Maybe they wont. Truthfully, armor color only really matters if you’re playing free for all (which I personally dont) or working on machinimas (which will adapt as they always have to the new situation because machinima directors are flexible people). All other times, team color overrides it.
Not like anyone does any interesting colors anyway, its always some mix of black and a brighter secondary. Looking at you, black and red and black and gold clan uniforms…
