If coatings will never be removed i suggest 343i take from bungie and do what they did with destiny 2’s shaders ie able to use different coatings for multiple parts of a spartan’s armor

If the coatings did something like this originally people would’ve been more accepting towards it
Still waiting for an ALL black coating…
As much as I think that is weird to just want to be pure black armor color for the rest of your days, there are pure black coatings in the game. Just not as dark as you think and I’m sure its for visual reasons.
I havent changed my armor once since last year. And yea, nothing they have is black enough. I think the Razer deadly poison coating is closest from what i’ve seen(?) (obviously aside from the green accenting)
The two blackest coatins are Shadow Sorel and Midnight Frost. Shadow sorel is actually a bit lighter but its still just one pure color. Shadow Sorel is actually pretty black, but it just has small tones of red dots on it.
Though I odn’t see it that much of a problem if you just want to be black.
