The only way I would buy it is if 343 enabled if I owned two consoles running in the same house l could play Co op of one purchase of the game because I won’t be doubling up or purchasing for a single player game.
Then don’t buy Halo 5 and miss out on what’s shaping up to be a great Halo game despite the lack of splitscreen. End of story. Lock thread.

I have been a loyal Halo fan since halo 2001, I was 12 at the time. At age 14-18, I became a huge Halo comp player with my friend cloudfan101 we did tournaments around the west coast, and my friend went off to MLG. I’m 26 now, married to a gamer who plays halo with me and we both like to occasionally play through campaign from halo 1-current (including ODST and Reach) on split screen. And you are saying I have to buy a second Xbox in order to play? This is a sad mistake. I understand your needs to make this game the xbox1 must have and a new break into an MLG comeback, but you forgot about your families, 343. Single player was cool as a kid. I’m no kid anymore, in fact I have a son, and I was looking forward to playing with him as he got older. I Just hope you don’t make the same mistake with halo 6. I was really excited to buying an Xbox 1 just for this, but it defeats the purpose if I can’t continue my tradition of beating the game on legendary with my wife upon release. I hope this big comp scene you are trying to bring to microsoft is worth it. I wish I had the time and money to just buy 2 xbox ones. A slap in the face for family players.
I hope at the very least you include it sometime down the road if not at release at least announce it for down the line to reintegrate it. 14 years of loyalty gone.

Look dude… I’m bummed about it too. Playing split-screen with my brothers was the THING and still is. But It’s life. I’m still going to buy it.
Dude just buy a second xbox one its honestly not a big deal unless of course you have a minimum wage job.

You can play on two Xbox’s with one copy of the game if you buy a digital copy of the game and setup game sharing.
I want split screen alot aswel, but you should post it on the v.4 thread so it can get more support.
