I know this will get some hate. I do not want them delaying the game… I’m dying to play a new halo game, but I want to think of solutions rather than complaining and dividing the community. AND as an avid fan of Forge and Co-Op Campaign, id rather play the game, than Not, I mean, 3 months, not bad, but some have been waiting since 2018 to play. When they started teasing it… I think if they could get more workers on it, maybe they could get more work done… ANYWAY! On to my point.
SO, I get the campaign co-op being delayed for the fact that it is basically open world-ish and that can be hard to work with players with individual objectives and all that.
HERE is a potential solution: a lot of games like this, leave it to the HOST to pick Objectives. Let the Host pick the missions, and let players place waypoints or even take on the other objectives (if there are multiple tasks to do, or multiple locations to do them at)
IF FREAKING GENSHIN IMPACT can do 4 player Open World Roaming, it shouldn’t be too hard for Halo to do it, since Halo has more funding.
Another potential solution would either be to limit the objectives, teleport players to the Host if they get to far, or to limit the co-op. I assume it was meant to be for 4 players… limit it to 2 only for campaign. Might be easier to maintain while you workshop it to 4 players, that way the total hype wont die.
I think that there is a potential for a large number of players to fall off the bandwagon if you delay it and if you don’t.
I do think it isn’t halo without forge or co-op campaign. But if there are other co-op modes, I think it might be fine…
However, It will be tricky since it seems the community is pretty evenly divided…
The other thing is players would have to wait to buy it, either way
one side that wants the game soon, 2021, will have to wait to buy it if it is delayed
and those that want forge and co-op campaign will have to wait 3-6 months for their modes to be release, meaning they will buy it later…
However, I still think if they worked hard enough, they have had a few years to work this out… it should still be a 2021 and they could still at least get the co-op campaign in.
Maybe complain to Microsoft to give them more funding to hire more people? hahaha… don’t do that…
Last option would be to ONLY release the PvP and delay the paid game, which really wouldn’t be smart to do either… But I leave it to 343i…
Instead of complaining like I see a lot of people doing, I am trying to help and make potential solution ideas. I’d be interested in any other solutions besides delaying the game from other community members.
