Co-op on Xbox One

Hey forum,

I was wondering if anyone could help out me out. Recently I introduced someone in my platoon to Halo and now he is fiending for it. He bought the MCC and Halo 5 and went to get a used copy of Reach. Last night we tried to play Reach via online Co-op on our Xbox one consoles but neither of us could figure out how to join or invite. I tried to see if I could launch the emulated 360 guide but I couldn’t get to that version of my friends list to send out an invite and the Xbox One guide didn’t offer the option to send an invite. Has anyone encountered this problem when trying to play with friends? Does anyone know of something we can do to make this work? Thanks.

have you ever the “Triple Line” and “Double Square” at the same time during a backwards compat game?

^this, it should open the classic 360 Guide menu and you should be able to invite your firend. If you try to invite him through the xbox one menu it wont work

yeah you can’t invite them through the xbox one menu. You have to use the classic 360 guide.

Thank you everyone for the replies. I didn’t know that’s how you launch the Xbox 360 guide, I’ll give it a try.
