Why did Halo have to adapt to the point where I lost one of my favorite features, the co-op ability? I grew up loving Halo and still do, but I miss the days where I could grab my brother or best friend and get on the Xbox together and play some cooperative Halo. It was one of the best things about Halo and just gaming in general. Now it seems that the newer the game, the less likely that you can play on the same console online. Does anyone else miss this?

It’s a shame we’ve lost it. But if you look at how poor the framerate is in parts of the game, just imagine with two screens. I think just had a point where they couldn’t’ do it because of the engine. I’m hoping we see the return of it for the next FPS Halo game.

I wish they could make the game so that you have great graphics single player but it sacrifices some quality when you select split screen. I don’t see why they can’t do this.
Yes. I played through the campaign for some of the older games in the MCC with one of my friends recently, and I was disappointed that we couldn’t play through Halo 5. He doesn’t have an Xbox one, so he won’t get to play it at all, unless he comes over and plays by himself while his wife watches the kids.
It feels like they removed split screen to save money on developing and make more people pay for Xboxes and xbl subscriptions. A house with three siblings or friends can’t all play together on the same Xbox anymore. Now you need a TV, Xbox, game and xbl subscription for each one in order to play together.

I completely agree with you I wouldn’t mind a little bit of a slower game if I could play with family and friends in person. It makes it so impersonal to play online with most people unless you have a mic and even that isn’t personal like it used to be.

I know and I hate that. They make us pay so much more for all of the extra stuff just so that we can play together. I wouldn’t mind paying a little bit more for the game if the introduced a cooperative split screen dlc.

It’s what got me started playing Halo. If you have friends, siblings, countrymen, who don’t have Halo and play it at your house they would get interested in the game and get it too. Doesn’t happen anymore. Silly of 343.
