Co-op mode idea: Hell drop

Hell drop would be a 8 person co-op mode that is modeled after firefight but with a twist. players drop into a specially made map with nothing but a supply pod and an Ma40 with a “mod slot”. from here the players must build up an FoB as they fight waves after waves of banished, covenant, or flood in this combat sim. The objective to test a spartans endurance in a tactical situation.

Game start

The match starts with the players spawning in a drop pod here they can mod their Ma40, these are simple modifiers to your start weapon that change the flow for hte player.

mods

  1. master key: replaces scope with a shotgun has 4 shots before reloading
  2. grenade launcher: replaces scope with a grenade launcher has 1 shot before reloading.
  3. quad stack mag: 60 round mag slower reload
  4. stub mag: 20 round mag faster reload
  5. suppressor: longer fire range
    6: sidekick: No mods but you get a sidekick in secondary slot.

Once you select your mod you will drop, if you do not pick one in 40 seconds you drop with the sidekick option.


From here the players are dropped into the map and must fight their way to an FoB which is controlled by the hostiles of the match giving you a good feel for what you will be fighting. To win you must claim the FoB then hold it for at least 3 sets of seven. between each set you will get a random set of allied marines or defenses to spawn at the FoB and 8 weapon printers which you can use to spawn one of any weapon in the game.


Differences from firefight

the biggest difference being the fail state not only can you fail if you run out of lives but you can fail if the enemy takes the FoB they do that by hacking the same point you used to take it over, thankfully this takes time so you can easily kill the enemy hacking it. but if you don’t act fast enough it is game over.

Banished

info: current main bad of the UNSC includes them and all their weapons and strategies.

covenant

info: more elites less bruites, will use horde tactics with grunts while elites armed with heavy weapons try to take the FoB hunters are more common and they may even deploy buggers and fringe covenant never seen before. Ever seen a prelate? they have your shields, cloaking, and are extremely fast good luck.

Flood

the hardest mod of the simulation the flood includes pure forms, swarms of poppers, juggernaugts and weapons both UNSC and covenant. Nothing like having to defend the FoB against infected scorpion tanks, or having to fight off a flood bomber before it covers the area in spores. Unlike the others this one has another fail state, spore level if to many flood end up on the map you loose and a “nuke” is fired. so you have to keep up with kill rate as well as defend the FoB. find the pure spawners in boss waves before the end you.
