Co-Op Mid Mission Saves? Nope.

So, I have been playing through coop (Halo 1 - at this point) with a friend over Xbox live. Why does the game NOT save progress when doing co-op campaign? That’s literally the only reason I got the game and its now removed. YES, you can go directly to a mission, BUT you have to finish it in 1 sitting. We play only on legendary and some of these take 1-2 hours (if you are thorough) to complete. Also, if for some reason (happens occasionally), you get disconnected, you must start the entire mission over.

Is this how it was designed? Is this the same for Halo 2, 3, and 4?

Was this an oversight that will be added?

It won’t even save progress for single player. Found that out the hard way for halo 2 legendary.

I don’t recall any other Halo with online co-op saving mission progress.

Did they do that?

It didn’t get “removed.” It was never there in the first place. Halo’s 1, 2, 3, and 4 have never had coop saving.

I’m sorry. You are mistaken. My friend and I have played Halo 4 for years now and it has always saved our coop missions. However, we played last weekend and when we just tried to continue, it was not there. We have finished this game twice… together… with it saving… in co-op mode.
