Whenever I start a campaign in co-op over xbox live I get terrible lag spikes but my friends can play the level without issue (most of the time). It used to run perfectly, I don’t know what changed. Our internet is more than capable to use multiplayer, I’ve even tried restarting my system but it still happens. Any advice? Or is this just how mcc is now?
Do you have any downloads running in the background?
Try the following: host a custom game with that co-op friend of yours. Does the lag happen in the custom game? Try different Halo games. Does it lag for every Halo co-op / custom game?
Halo ce and 4 remain largely uneffected. its only 2 and 3 which are troublesome. We didn’t try custom games, we didn’t think of it at the time, we’ll have to try that. And no background anything (downloads, apps,etc).

Does it also matter who the party leader is? Say, can your friend invite you to their lobby and host co-op? Can you invite them and host co-op? Any difference?

Ok so his gold ran out and I don’t have anyone else who wants to play customs on mcc (or touch mcc multiplasyer in general since this started happening), so that threw a wrench in the works.
Its generally better when I’m hosting but only for a small amount of time. It gradually gets worse until the game crashes or it boots a player (I was with multiple people trying to get the annual achievement, and the booted player was random each time we tried) and ends game session.

So it gets worse the longer you play? Sounds like some sort of memory leak. Have you tried re-installing the game or power-cycling your console? Halo CE and Halo 4 work fine? If you can, can you link a DVR clip for this?

I think you may be onto something with this, the only dvr I have is on h3 floodgate but the loading screen says crows nest. that one was a while ago so ithought it was an isolated incident. Guess not, huh.I would link it but i’m using the xbox interface and it doesn’t load videos on my profile for some reason, also i’m not sure how (as i said on xbox) i’m new to this forum buisness.

Looks like you didn’t actually ‘upload’ any clips. I’d say try local co-op, check if it lags then or even crashes. Try re-installing regardless and power-cycle after the install is complete. It could just be that MCC is broken on your system. I hope at least the next patch will fix it for you.
