Co-op and/or General.

As the title suggests; I’m looking for a partner in crime to do the Halo Wars campaign with (preferably on Easy for the sake of speed) and/or someone to get to General with.

The campaign should be quick and easy, but the General task won’t be quick at all. I have a foolproof way to ensure that we’ll get it in so so many turns so it is the easiest thing in the world to do, but it will take time.

If you’re interested send me a message and a friend invite at XBL, my gamertag is Jochon.

p.s. For the sake of us getting a painless and comfortable Achievement-hunt together there are some things you must have:

  • Time. If you have to go eat dinner or wash your grandmother’s car in 10 minutes I’d rather you include this in your message and give me a time and a date in which you are able to dedicate some time and effort to the task at hand.

  • Voice communication. If we’re forced to send each other messages through the somewhat slow XBL message system, we’re gonna have a bad time. A headset is acceptable if it works, but Skype really is the best thing here. My skype-name is chief.joachim (I was much younger and plain Joachim was taken).

  • A stabile connection. I don’t think I need to elaborate on this one. Keep in mind that you need to have an open NAT connection to join games and XBL parties, if your NAT is closed (which you can check by testing your XBL connection in Settings > System > Network) it often helps to restart your modem.

I’m Norwegian (Scandinavia, North-Europe) and so I would only be able to play with U.S. citizens/Australians early in the morning or late in the evening. My timezone is GMT±-2:00 according to this tool. If necessary you can calculate yourself a convenient time for our “date” using this time zone converter.

I hope to see you online soon ^^

Every time a boosting thread is made, a spartan loses armor.

That’s cute.

There is nothing wrong with wanting to experience the co-op system of Halo Wars’ campaign, and unless someone makes the game popular again there is no other viable way of achieving General.

Nice try… but the game is still popular. I still play Halo Wars all the time and NEVER ONCE did I have trouble finding a game. (In fact I played pretty much all day yesterday… in 3s… where if you want to get to general fast is probably the best place to go anyway. You want to boost for it and get it faster. Just admit it. I am glad to say I got mine legit, and have enough points to have general a second time…

I’d prefer to get my general legit, but I always lose my games since people always use the rushing tactic nearly completely at the beginning.

Well there is a lesson to learn, rush or get ready for the rush.

I’m sorry but this is the problem with the Halo community. Instead of helping people with tips strategies we criticize them and that doesn’t help them get better. I probably would want to boost to general just for the achievement there’s no way in hell i can get it legit, everyone left on HW are for the most part pros and veterans would rather see me suffer than succeed.

These people are not willing to listen to the advice we give them. They simply come here to play halo wars till the next big game comes out (which was halo 4), they don’t want to create a post-popularity meta for the game, they just want a little nostalgia and some achievements. We would waste our time genuinely trying to help them. It is unfortunate, but as all good things must come to an end, games similarly do die.

boosting is for pansies
