I know this is probably outdated news for some of you, but I did some digging around today and found out that CMT (Custom Mapping Team, not Country Music Television) is back working on their Halo custom edition campaign.
They’ve got some very promising videos and screens previewing their early build of v3. Is anyone else looking forward to this as much as I am? To me Halo custom edition is the best kept secret in the Halo community b/c not many fans out there bought a copy of Halo PC, and CMT is the driving force behind it. I’ve loved their work so far, but am really looking forward to finally playing the final product since CMT campaign has been a work in progress for years now.

I lost my key as well. There are literally a ton of keys you can find out there though. Using one won’t allow you to play multiplayer, but you can play campaign just fine so CMT SPv3 is still a go in your case. You’ll just need to download custom edition to play it. Won’t work on standard Halo PC.

Thing is, whenever I try to play Custom Edition I get this odd glitch where the menu loads up but the screen is black so I can’t see anything. Even when I switched computers I had the same problem and I have absolutely no idea how to get around it.

I got the same problem once. I just installed it on my newest computer and it works fine. Likely your graphics card can’t handle the game. Did you install the v1.09 patch? That might be causing problems as well.

Yeah but still no luck. Maybe I’ll just completely uninstall everything and put it all back in again, don’t know what else to do at this point.
That would be probably be the best option you’ve got. Try installing it on your newest computer though. I’ve noticed how older computers have a little trouble running the game.

I had the same problem before. what i did was remove the entire halo ce from the program files folder
copy them elsewhere like the desktop or in a folder.
xD i have v1.00 of ce, awesome eh? anyways, i’ve played through their v2 campaign, which i was impressed that they extended the levels, like you go through chron or w/e that one janitors closet (rvb reference :3) on PoA, v3 is going to be even better! xD
