Hey guys, so i haven’t been on in two days, but when i just got on the aim feel seemed way different. It seemed the aiming got a lot more clunky, almost a delay to start the aiming movement, and then would shoot over very quickly and stop on a dime. It’s really throwing me off, i’ve tried exiting the game and restarting, toying with the sensitivity and controls but nothing helps, it is still clunkier than it was before. I changed location of my xbox since the last time i played, from a friends house back to my house, wondering if internet or something could be the cause. Please if someone has some info let me know.
The aiming in this game is sluggish compared to previous Halo games. The aim acceleration is whack. Good thing Bravo already addressed the issue on Reddit a few days ago and the team is looking into the issue.
Could be the TV or monitor you’re using. I just finally made a switch to a monitor designed for gaming and it made a huge difference.
I can see what you mean. The mechanics are somewhat different to previous Halo games, and it threw me off at first. But like every new game, just takes a bit of getting used to.
It aming is good
Yeah it needs to be a bit more sensitive for small movements and much faster when you peg the stick. 10 sensitivity is way too slow.
Not a lot of people understand whats actually happening here in regards to Aiming.
I feel your pain OP and actually agree with you. It’s a mixture of factors, the biggest culprit is the controller itself. The x1 controller has significantly larger deadzones compared to any other controller you’ve ever played with on any console EVER. The game doesn’t offer a setting to compensate for this like Titanfall, Forza, and other games do.
Mix that in with faster aim acceleration, and less aim assist, and you have the jerkiest aiming experiences ever known to Halo. We need some sort of way to offset the deadzones because once we get to the point of where input registers, the acceleration kicks in and you aim right past the enemy’s head/body.
The only way to describe it besides "jerky" and “unresponsive” is that even after playing for several hours, you still feel as if you haven’t “warmed up” yet. It’s a huge bummer for a lot of halo vets.

Don’t get used to it. Its a broken system. Shouldn’t be like this at all.
Sounds like ipuut lag bud, set your TV or monitor to ‘game mode’, failing that turn off all processing (dynamic contrast, etc) which is what game mode does anyway. This extra processing means the image lags behind and creates a feeling of sluggish controls.
Also plug your controller in via cable, could be a slow wireless connection there (if you accidentally swapped controllers or bumped it a little hard during transport etx)
Hope this helps
Man I hope they fix the aim I’ve always played on 4 and it’s slow a crap the acceleration screws with you so bad on any sensitivty. If they fix it to how the beta was ill play the heck out of this game just like the bet that was awesome

I’m starting to doubt it’s gonna change man…they said withing a few weeks…sounds like a broken promise…the threads over the issue will die down cause people will become tiresome of bringingit up over and over. This acceleration things a pain.
