I remember when Halo Combat Evolved came out. Truth be told I was rather suspicious of it. My military friends and I didn’t know whether or not to get it. Nevertheless when the game came out on November 15, 2001, people were raving about it all around the military base. I was curious but didn’t have the game system. So I went to one of my friend’s apartments, (that’s where we lived at the time, housing), and watched him play. I was so hooked on the gameplay that I told myself I had to get it. Truth be told many years would pass before I’d actually get an Xbox 360 and start playing HALO 3. I was so hooked in the gameplay and story that I couldn’t stop. Ever since then, I’ve been playing Halo, and about to contribute to the story line (books) as long as I get permission to.

I can’t really remember my first Halo memory, I just remember Halo Reach being the first game I got for the Xbox 360 and that was that. Had an absolute blast playing Halo Reach though, still to this day Halo Reach is my most favorite game of all time.
In the winter of '02 I worked for a company that made speaker systems and we had just launched one made specifically for gaming systems. The company did a promotional deal with Microsoft and we got an xbox and copy of Halo for the office. My colleagues (all younger than me) tried to get me to play with them. I was 35 at the time and I thought video games were the death of American Youth. After a month or two they wore me down and I’ve played every Halo every day ever since. They weren’t often right about much, but they were definitely right about Halo.

My first memory of Halo was way back to when I was a kid (I honestly dont remember how old I was) and at my uncles house. He had an xbox and Halo CE, thankfully he let me and my brothers play it. It sparked a love for video games, Halo specifically. Have stuck with the series ever since.
