Cloaking shouldn't be in the game. Halo wars 2

It doesn’t make the game better, it’s just a stupid and it shouldn’t be in the game little own multiplayer

Great. Do you have specific reasons in gameplay or how it might be unfair? Because right now it seems like a fine, creative mechanic.

Every unit producing building aside from main base can produce a units with detect. So regardless of what build you choose, you have the ability to see stealth units at your disposal. If anything, it is rather underpowered.

Actually, scouts can be detector units once you give them a single upgrade. So yes, every unit-producing building, including the main base, can produce a detector unit.

*Let alone

Now you know.

For the contrary, I think it should be better, perhaps healer units should be deprived from detect. That would strike a great blown to the dudes that just build super units and swarms of healers.

I never thought about it that way. That is pretty neat

As a Shipmaster mang, it triggers me that my Mass Camo is just Atriox’s mass invulnerability, but is completely useless most of the time. Every high level UNSC player has at least a Sniper, Nightingale, or Wolverine in their army. I honestly don’t know why Engineers and Nightingales have detect, they’re too useful as is.

lmao xD

Cloaking isn’t terrible, of all RTS games Halo Wars 2 probably has the least powerful cloaking. Look at Starcraft where you only have one detector unit/building, with ridiculously high damage cloaked units. In Halo Wars 2 scouts/healers/snipers/anti-air can all detect cloaking. Plus all cloaking in HW2 is temporary (with the exception of honor guard).

Yes it should, case closed!
Its new, it works, and its easy as hell to counter!

I am assuming OP that you lost a game due to cloaked units? If this is the case I am surprised you didn’t have a unit with detection made. That is sort of hard to do imo.

Cloaking detecting needs fixed. Having a wolverine kissing an enemy base and it only reveals one building and while their turrets eat away your army because base is still cloaked.

I think the range for detecting clocked units should increase. Other then that its fine as it is.

I solve this issue by simply finding and destroying the cloaking generator first, it’s not like it’s hard, really you have a 50/50 shot of getting it first try because people build it on one of the back 2, using the front 2 for turrets

Well yeah man! There’s still gotta be some ability to resist against forces, maybe decloak the turrets, or focus the generator altogether? Making one wolverine isn’t going to save the day!

My only problem is with base cloaking. I know it isn’t a huge issue but it just slows the game down a little bit. Countless times I have my big A army there and my idiot nightingale is flying in circles and not getting close enough to the base for me to do some damage. I’ve never lost because of cloaking, I have just been annoyed by base cloaking  Wouldn’t be sad if that aspect was taken out of the game.

Never said it was under powered or over powered. I just think that there’s other ways they could of implemented cloaking into bases.

True, and don’t get me wrong, I still haven’t figured out a good way to crack a banished turtle but I think a turret slot is pretty good.

Any smart player will have atleast 4 healers in their army either it’s super units or not that’s like rts 101. The healing units have cloak detection. I’m not saying they won’t get focused but c’mon it’s hard to not have a detecting unit with you
