Client species manufacturing MJOLNIR?

With the beginning of MJOLNIR Gen2 the UNSC started using Private contractors to produce new variants of armor.

Maybe one day we could have some new privet contractors lead Sangheili, Jiralhanae or maybe even Kig-yar.

We’ve already got some variants inspired and based on Covenant armor but what I’d really like is some honest to goodness Sangheili armor designed and Manufactured straight from a Sangheili colony world.

And what about the other way around? Maybe we could have some human manufacturers producing Sangheili armor variants for Thel’s men and if we want to keep everybody happy maybe we could start making and selling some new duds for Lydus and his boys.

Same goes for weapons. The UNSC can’t rely on picking Plasma pistols off the ground in order for them to be available to SIVs forever.

Thoughts?

Too dangerous… I doubt it’d happen soon.

No matter what, “the peace” between the species… is unreliable and dangerous. Their will be constant squabbles and past hatred, for crimes committed, by their ancestors. The Sangheili, Jiralhanae, Humans… all wouldn’t assist each other, because they are not trusting enough in the other species eyes… they may how ever trade already manufactured weapons.

Imagine this, the Arbiter’s Forces (Kaidon Thel’Vadam, Shipmaster Rtas’Vadum) were allied with the UNSC (Admiral Lord Terrance Hood, Captain Thomas Lasky) and Lydus’ Jiralhanae Clans (Lydus Clan). The Human-Sangheili-Jiralhanae alliance lasts a while, and they start trading technology and manufactures new weaponry and vehicles, composed from all three designs, Covenant, Human and Brute; thus making each species the same technology tier, according to the Forerunners.

Then all of a sudden, the rebellious factions of each species gets a hold of this tech, thus making all factions equal… and no one has an advantage. Lydus’ Jiralhanae Clans, could be attacked by the Storm Covenant or Servants of Abiding Truth; Arbiter Forces, could be attacked by Insurrectionists or ONI; UNSC could be attack by Jiralhanae Raiding Parties… the end result is blame no other species could trust the other at least not 100%… so they would take every chance to have an advantage, especially when Humans JUST SURVIVED, a genocidal campaign by xeno-religous alliance, The Covenant Empire.

Will never happen. They have Huragok. No one else will ever touch their tech. Nothing but Machines and Forerunner nano-assemblages.

Grunts, Jackals or Hunters utilizing a MJOLNIR or a system like Elites, is a no-no. The game would be crazy annoying at this point.

They wouldn’t have MJOLNIR, just normal armor that just happens to have come from a manufacturer of a different species.

And wouldn’t Elite systems just be basic stuff that they already would’ve had like HUDs and what not? What would be the difference?

A lot of the MJOLNIR components are based on data gathered on the Covenant including events on Harvest, so in my eyes it’s close enough. Take a look at RG-3 Counter.

i would think the huragok would smash this idea to bits…why give a weapons contract to a bum when you have the best engineer in existence (so to speak)?

Well the UNSC is already doing it with private human contractors for whatever reason.

So the only difference would be that the contractor is of a different species.

I suppose they don’t use Huragok because they don’t want to become completely dependent on them for technology like the Covenant was.

I guess you could say that making deals with a Sangheili or Kig-yar could lead to the same result with us depending on them too much but it’s a bit different because unlike Huragok other contractors either human or another species will be capable of competing with their products.

Humanity would not give any Covenant species access to their Mjolnir technology. The shielding, armor, interfaces, etc. is more advanced than the Covenant’s. A lot of it is reverse-engineered from Covie stuff and using Forerunner concepts now too.

Too dangerous to let the Covenant get their hands on it.

Agreed here.

Again I want to make the point that they wont be given MJOLNIR or anything like that.

They would be given armor and equipment that is functionally identical to their past gear. The only difference will be that the contractor will be of a different species than the one buying the equipment.

For example. Arbiter makes a deal with a Private contractor that just happens to be human and not Sangheili. The human contractor will sell Arbiter Elite combat harnesses that will functionally be the same as any past combat harness with technology in it that the Elites already would of had. It would effectively be a new cosmetic variant of the Elites already existing combat harness. There’s no danger in technology being stolen.

Arbiter would probably make a deal like this for the same reason the UNSC is using private contractors for armor.

  1. Because he isn’t capable of producing enough armor by himself.

And 2. Private contractors can bring in new ideas for variants that weren’t previously taken advantage of. When the UNSC started using private contractors many new designs were produced and proved to be successful such as the Dead eye helmet.

And you guys are talking like I want the UNSC to send Jul an instruction manual on how to create super soldiers for Christmas. I’m talking about opening trade between potential allies like Thel and Lydus and start building up a little more trust. And to an extent it wont be the governments or leaderships doing this either, it would be private contractors trying to make some money.

I’m not even sure if the human private contractors have MJOLNIR technology. They only make helmets and armor pieces, not the actual under-suite.
