Now lets just get some facts straight:
343 did not lie to us regarding getting a unique armour with the LE. They have always said it is an armour skin. 343 did not lie to us about early access to specialisations. You do get early access to specialisations. 343 did not lie to us about the armour you get with the war games map pack. We are getting exactly what 343 said we would get, the map pack. Yes there is a seperate map pack that comes with armour, but 343 have always told us this is a seperate map pack.
If you don’t feel the LE is worth it then the answer is simple, don’t but it.
You are free to comment about whether you think the LE is worth it or not, but do not come on here claiming that 343 have lied or mislead us about the LE when they simply haven’t.
I am sorry that I have had to create a new topic about this, but some people are just plain lying about the issue.
The LE WGMP does not come with Strider or Scanner helmets, or the hawk emblem.

These things aren’t worth the extra money that you’ll pay for the LE. And they aren’t a ‘staple’ to buy it either. These things are tertiary for the LE.
You missed the FUD and making of content (which will be online shortly after LE is released) and a tin case, which is well, I don’t like them.
I was always under the impression that the recruit armour (not skin) was exclusive to the LE. Although, I think that’s an issue with EB Games’s advertising rather than 343i’s, they have just made a mistake, but it has been up on their site since the LE was announced.

So basically, an armour permutation and skin is worth $40 to you?
I dunno why people go around saying “butthurt”… Tantrum is much more apt and offensive… the OP has a really good point… yeah a few of the LE things are being handed away to others as well but it’s all in game content, the physical items we get are worth much more valuable and I’m pretty comfy putting a 40 dollar price tag on that regardless of what other people are getting.
oh and as a side note, you shouldn’t provoke the monitors… they might just ban you and then you wont be around to enjoy the perks of being right (which I’m not saying you are…)

As the old saying goes “the devil is in the details”, i think adequate describes the whole LE situation. No they didn’t mislead, but had very little details and was kinda vague about stuff. If they had been upfront about all the details, instead of having little “leaks” all over the internt, people probably wouldnt be upset. Seems to be about the only thing that has remained the same since its announcement is “Its truly limited.” I might add to that, in more ways then one.
When i went to preorder my halo 4, was the day LE was announced. Gamestop had no details on it other than the price. I ended up getting the Regular. Waited a few days to get info and then upgraded to LE. Ironically, now with more information, ill probably downgrade and spend the extra on a wired xbox controller to use for both pc and xbox.

What? I was saying Limited Edition is not worth the extra money. An exclusive armour, exclusive early access to specializations and the complete War Games Map Pass that comes with everything, I would gladly pay the extra $40 for that. But there is no exclusive armour, you can get early access to the specializations by just playing the game before the 20th and the War Games Map Pass that comes with the Limited Edition is lacking 3 things that the marketplace one comes with.
Oh well, I like the AR skin, pobably won’t be using Recruit Prime (so many pre order armor skins) and it’s not that hard to use MSpoints for the map pack instead of what was given with the LE
I want the LE for just that, it’s the first limited edition game I was fortunate enough to pre order. I see no problem with shelling out $100.00.
I think too many people have over analyzed everything and jumped to so many conclusions they thought they were buying something they weren’t. I pre-ordered my LE months ago and that’s it for me. I’m now waiting for it to come in the mail on the 6th. I don’t care what it will or will not come with. I’ll know for sure when I’ve unboxed it.

No, I’m aware they are making 2 versions of it.
What I don’t think you understand is they didn’t lie about it. Where did it ever say that you get the map pack and everything that comes with it and nobody else gets anything?
