People seem to think that when an enemy team has all bases and is pushing for the core that they’re farming.
Farming is when they are in the core room and go directly for kills completely ignoring the core. This however can be a tactic to destroy the core. One person kills defenders while the enemy team rushes in to destroy the core.
If you see a person in your core room wait for a minute or two. They may not be farming. If however after a few minutes of locking you in your base and ignoring the core, they are very likely farming.
If you see an enemy killing people at the pelican drop point then they are definitely farming. You can choose to keep playing or you can quit. You will not be judged for either option because nobody should ever have to experience farming.
And to the farmers out there that will simply say “git gud”.
I speak on behalf of everyone when I say : - Yoink -. You.
Tbh most farmers now are smarter to not go into the core area because that can mess up spawns and the enemy can then sneak around and cap a base or two.
Yeah thing is I run with a full team like every time I play warzone and we usually go for the core as soon as possible. But people on the enemy team will still defend their core as hard as they can despite being trapped in their base and with no way to win.
They will always fight back and we don’t usually want to expend our best req weapons just to get in there and blow it up and end the game in a minute, but they will certainly camp in their core room with like 8 or so people to fight us off, or whatever reqs they can muster up at level 3. And if they are alerted about their core being under attack they will run into the core room in droves to clear us out.
So if you’re trapped in your base, try just hiding back in the spawning area. Sometimes the enemy wants to blow up your core, but can’t.

Lol, I remember I was playing on Apex 7 and the red team had 2 armories capped and were capping the Spire. I tried going out through the back from my home base but half of their team was there in the little sniper nest. And once they had triple capped us, it went to hell from there.

This happen all the time, then we get hate messages about farming.

While I agree with the idea… the problem is, yes, you will indeed be judged. You will be judged by 343 as “quitting” which will earn you a ban if you do it enough. That amount of stupidity is one of the reasons I just quit playing the game at all.

I know right? If you don’t want to be trapped in your base for 15 minutes then get out of our way and let us blow up the core.

If you get banned for quitting then you are either getting farmed five games in a row and leaving or getting salty every now and again and rage quitting. The latter seems to be the most likely. If that is happening then we have every reason to judge you.
343i is not giving people multiple consecutive farming matches so nobody should be getting banned. That “stupidity” is punishing people who quit when they aren’t winning or destroying people.I’m all for punishment of wrong doing.

Nobody likes it and I’m not promoting the idea of people just quitting on a continuous basis… but banning has no place in a social match type setting. Full stop… and I don’t care what excuses people use to justify it. “Wrong doing” is subjective.

First of all, 343i doesn’t “give” people anything when it comes to farming. It occurs when condescending trolls take advantage of an acknowledged problem within the Warzone scoring system. That being said, farming absolutely does happen in that manner! One evening, my party was farmed four times within five Warzone games to end the night. We never quit because that simply isn’t something we would do, but please don’t make a broad-spectrum statement like that when it is nothing more than an educated guess.

First off, farming isn’t normally done as trolling.Don’t make your own broad statement.People may just be playing as a full team and just going for kills. They may not realise the detrimental effect is has on the other team.
Second, what I ment was that Warzone matchmaking has a one in a trillion chance of giving somebody five matches in a row where they are farmed. So if people are banned for quitting then it is their own fault.
Finally, there is a quitting punishment for a reason.People would otherwise leave constantly when the match starts to go against them and so the match could no longer be won by that team.Nobody wants that and nobody should experience it that often. This is where a punishment helps people.

They may not… but they probably do. Halo 5 was released seven months ago, so there aren’t too many new matchmaking players in the mix.
It also isn’t quite as simple as people “just” playing as a full team and “just” going for kills. If you are a member of a full team, capture three bases within the first few minutes of the game, and push into the enemy’s home base within a few Spartans in the opponent’s core room without taking a single shot at the core itself, your team is farming and it is highly unlikely that anyone on that squad is oblivious to what is happening. It is the consummate example of “Unsporting Behavior” within the Halo 5 world, and definitely earns the associated Xbox Live report.
So after a 2/3 month break and played the division (great game), I’m still amazed people complain about this, I mainly play Warzone and always solo, I think out of all my games, I’ve been “farmed” once, if the enemy has all 3 zones but can’t get to the core, that’s not “farming” you got out played, if I find myself in a game like this I pad KD a bit, work on commendations or mess around with gungooses.
I do think however, the losing team (by over 150 points) should get a 20% increase in the speed they earn req points, might help them fight back a bit.

The OP already reminded everyone of that in the very first post.
You admitted that you haven’t played Halo 5 in months, and simply because you have only encountered farming once doesn’t mean that it is a rare occurrence. It may be more uncommon, but I still see it at on a weekly basis.

This is pretty much farming in Halo 5 in previous games yes it did happen but a lot of people did that for stats and it was a lot more rare compared to what it is and Halo 5 Achilles armor is at fault here and those that say it isn’t because of Achilles are wrong the stats at 343 provided were only stats based off the day after announcement and not stats that were based off a month’s worth of practice by farmers overall if I see any group that refused to take out the core and refused to take out bosses I will report them for unsporting conduct.
I do know the difference between a good player and a farming player I don’t care if it means nothing at least bring some piece of my mind that I’m making some small impact on trying to keep the Halo community clean.
