Clearing up aim assist confusions

I did some testing and comparisons with Halo Reach , and most things are still the same.

  • Every weapon has aim assist.
    -Snipers(including the skewer) do not have aim assist from the hip, only when scoped.
  • aim assist gets weaker the further your target is
    However;
  • aim assist is weaker overall compared to reach (likely in response to the complaints with MCC)
  • aim assist ranges are shorter ( most noticeable with the pistol)

while I think weaker aim assist is fine ,the shortened ranges , mainly on the pistol could be increased a bit

however I could be wrong about this especially if they plan on adding a more "halo CE " type of magnum with more range and stopping power) I believe the sidearm fits a different roll from the pistol we know and love but a replacement or tweaking may need to be done.

(we also need Response Curves options)
