Fixed!

Wowza, fantastic work as usual everyone. Always love to see concept art - how things were built up from initial designs. Love that more keeps coming in every unlock

Ooo a new code. Am I right in thinking the previous code was the third Spartan assault one. I haven’t missed one have I?

Great work Sec. 3! Once again you give your time for the service for others.

You are correct, haven’t missed one.

Well done! Thanks for the code

Awesome! Thanks for the hard work.

Thanks Section 3!

You Section 3 Operatives totally ROCK! Thanks!

Good work as usual, operatives. I’m disappointed that I missed most of the fun this time around.

Still nothing on how to unlock the DMR “CONCRETE” and Battle Rifle “BLAST” weapon skins? Have you found any more glyphs on the Bullseye maps?

> Still nothing on how to unlock the DMR “CONCRETE” and Battle Rifle “BLAST” weapon skins? Have you found any more glyphs on the Bullseye maps?

There are no glyphs to find on the Bullseye maps. Intead, all of the glyphs for this unlock have come to us via interaction here in the forum and in the IRC channel, with the maps providing clues to help solve puzzles along the way. We’re as curious about the skins as everyone and will share any information should it come our way.

Fantastic work my good lads.

I’m curious… where exactly do you find these glyphs, if not on the maps? How do you piece together these codes? Why does 343i make them so hard to find and decode?

I’ve scrolled through the SECTION-3 thread here on Waypoint, and I can never make sense of what the hell you guys are talking about…

> I’m curious… where exactly do you find these glyphs, if not on the maps?

Up until this most recent set, we did get at least part of the glyphs on the maps. The posts in the SECTION-3 thread by ViolentORKid are usually puzzles or clues to puzzles. A lot of the solution process happens in the IRC channel. Interaction with the characters takes place there as well and they frequently give us puzzles directly in chat.

> How do you piece together these codes? Why does 343i make them so hard to find and decode?

At the start we used mostly online tools to do the decoding. Over time as the complexity of the puzzles has increased, we’ve built up an arsenal of tools using a Ruby library written by SepheusIX. As for why they are this diffucult, I can only guess. The earliest puzzles were ripped through pretty quickly. A large group will usually solve puzzles in a If the difficulty hadn’t increased it would have likely been the case that we would have short spurts of puzzles with long gaps waiting for the next. Harder puzzles give us something to work on longer and them more time between puzzles while still maintaining interest.

I can understand that all this is a bit hard to follow. For those not in chat it likely sounds like only part of one side of a conversation. Plus, in those times when we get a spate of puzzles in a shorter period of time, it can be a bit before a full accounting of what happens in chat makes its way to the forum. As always, anyone who wants to check out what goes on in IRC is more than welcome to join in HERE.
