If you had the chance to choose between classic zooming or smartscope to be in the final version of Halo 5 what would you choose?

In my opinion the old zooming mechanic made Halo a lot more unique than any other game out there. It made it really stand out and feel different. Classic zooming is the biggest feature that made Halo feel like Halo and I’m sad it’s gone.

Classic zoom without a doubt.
-no delay on scoping.
-no delay on rescoping after getting descoped
-no significant increase in bullet accuracy
-no fuckhuge gun and sights block a significant portion of my screen.
just to name a few of the many reasons why old scope is superior.
Classic zooming. 100% better. Yes, smart scope looks cooler I guess, but the old system functioned much better and felt a ton better. One of the many things Halo did differently is now, once again, just similar to every other FPS out there.
I’m fine with both but getting knocked out of your scope really irritates me, almost to the point of not wanting to play the game.
Classic zooming. I hate Smart Scope, but I am willing to overlook it because the rest of the beta is great.
A: classic scope was far superior imo.
Smart Scope. I just prefer the look and feel to it. I like the descoping though.

The fact that the zoom on most guns obscure a portion of the middle parts of the screen really makes me not want to zoom during gameplay unless I have to. That coupled with it seems that when zoomed you are more accurate also makes this feature a bad idea as implemented. Right now the best weapon in the beta to scope with is the Light Rifle. Its obscuring parts are not in the middle of the screen so you don’t feel like you are missing something by zooming in with it.
A. Classic zooming set Halo apart from other games, there was no reason for them to change it, it worked for 13 years and i never heard anyone say it should be changed.

I prefer Classic Scope but I don’t mind Smart Scope.
Classic for sure. I’m not a fan of the timing or auto-rescope on the smart scope.
Classic but we should be able to toggle it for people who like one or the other.
Classic, if they made smart scope work better id be for it. Not on ARs and SMGs and all tho. That shouldnt have ever happened

A. Nothing to obscure my vision for no reason, it was faster and easier to aim.
Classic zoom is far superior, not only does it obscure less of my FOV, but it activates much faster leaving less time which is far less frustrating in ranged engagements.

You realize that it is possible to have classic zoom with automatic weapons? See ODST/H2A SMG.
